big big week for the AFC South again this this this AFC South is GNA be something to watch oh yeah uh we're

about as hot and cold as Katy Perry in 2005 um it is it is pretty ridiculous um

everybody in this division is the epitome of the phrase Jackel and Hy

because it's such a week- toe basis on team is trotting out on the

field I feel like the the two teams that were not expected to do anything are the

least Jackal in hide I feel like the Colts and the Texans you can expect I guess more consistency from

them at this point I mean yeah I think we all understood that the Titans were

going to be in a state of change and fluctuation a little bit this season because the offensive line is so knew

but um yeah I mean the Colts and the Texans have been at least consistent uh after

the couple bumps for the Texans they kind of smoothed it out a little bit the defense while it wasn't perfect today

was still um you know you hold somebody to 21 points you expect that that's a

winnable game so yeah uh they're doing their jobs and and the Colts are the same way the Colts are playing

phenomenal defense and they're they're just hoping to get some some sort of complimentary offense

and maybe a quarterback that's not made out of glass I don't know yeah that'd be

really nice to have a quarterback that's not made out of glass yeah um let's I guess we we'll talk about the AFC South

games more than I get we'll dive in a little bit to the other ones but I want to cover those are the important games

yeah um most competitive division in football Yeah by record actually maybe

maybe the AFC North to but uh let's cover the division matchup first Colts Texans or Colts Titans

um this was a I mean listen this is a battle the Colts Heaven won I think it's been seven or they lost six of the last

seven against Tennessee after owning them with Andrew luck for many years um

this was kind of considered it's a new era for the Colts moving into Anthony Richardson uh Richardson gets hurt on

the design runs which I have said Time and Time and Time and Time and Time Again why are you designing runs for the

kid he's comfortable in the pocket he's clearly showed Poise in the pocket why why is he not just using his

legs to extend the play and and be athletic but Shane Sten loves to do that

he just loves to do it and he loves Taking Chances like a well-known quarterback Whisperer that was the Colts

head coach just a year ago yeah uh and I think you a lot of

people when they heard styken was coming and then the moment that anony

Richardson was drafted everybody was like oh thank God we got a guy who knows how to handle a mobile quarterback and

which is true but I mean I don't I don't know that anybody

was necessarily expecting Anthony Richardson to just you know get a concussion and miss a game and then um

now he's got this AC sprain which was a blessing that it's an AC sprain yeah it could have

significantly worse the way he was tackled but um I was actually talking to

the Colts fan on my podcast Channel about it and um I was just like why

didn't you slide Herold Landry technically yes he was tackle from behind but he knew where

Harold Landry was from the moment the ball was snapped that was the first

person he saw in another uniform and he was in the hit pocket of Anthony Richardson the entire time until he was

tackled slide avoid unnecessary contact yes and

I don't know if nobody's taught him that yet but that needs to be a lesson at some point bring in um who's what's the

is there a professional baseball team in Indiana uh there is a minor league team they brought they did it with Andrew

to the offense even when he's not being 100% accurate or even close to it um so

if he can find ways of not breaking himself I think he's going to have a pretty solid career and I was the guy

um this his career could be very quickly derailed if he doesn't learn to take care of

himself I think it's it's that um there are Colts fans out there that are still pretty delusional about his injury and

you know his obvious injury history after he's played four games you know they're they're saying that they're

saying oh it's just an unlucky streak I mean any anytime a quarterback

if if your running quarterback gets hurt past a line of scrimmage on a design run I mean that's I I see that as the

coaching the coaching's fault and and obviously Richardson's fault for not sliding but that's more something that

needs to be taught yeah and he's comfortable in the pocket he has shown Poise in the pocket where he's able to

stand in there I mean he took a hit from Aaron Donald and delivered a dart last week yeah he also came up

limping in the game last week too it was a short time but I count that as a as a possible injury he's been injured in

every game he's played every single game at least for a very small amount of time

and there becomes a point where it's like this isn't luck anymore this is they're being Reckless and I I feel like

they're being Reckless at this point this was the injury that kind of put it over the top and four games into the

many people other than outside maybe Lamar who can kind of bring that juice to any offense and um it it's it's just

clearly built a great locker room that get the guys love each other I mean they still accepted Jonathan Taylor with open

arms after everything that that happened they accepted him with open arms but

this is really really really scaring me because this is what we said about Frank Reich we said he is a quarterback

Whisperer and we've said the same thing about Shane Ste Shane comes from the

making he I mean he's terrible with time management he does not care about timeouts whatsoever he always tries to

do that little you know try to jump him get him to jump maybe Works five percent of the time on

average and you look at I mean at the at the end of the first half today they could have easily just taken a field

goal you go up Seven heading into the half and you walk away you you know you didn't get it you didn't score a

touchdown but no they go for it and you lose the points yeah I feel like that's

happened a couple times at least now with Sten already I don't care that we're three and

two there's been a lot of mismanagement I mean last week against the Rams you know you're you're down eight with eight

minutes to go you get the ball you don't try to run the clock down because that two-point conversion isn't a guarantee

to get the the two-point conversion whatsoever you try and score as quickly as you can even kick a field goal you're

down five your defense is playing great get a stop and then you'll have the ball with two minutes and two

timeouts you go to you go and score and win the game there they I think Sten completely screwed that up he tried to

run the clock down which you know you can't run the clock down with with seven minutes you know it's very difficult

especially with the timeouts that the Rams have yeah I I don't get it I I don't I don't really see the love for

his play calling if he took if he took it away and was just a locker room guy then I would say great this is a perfect

I don't think they look good at all against Atlanta I feel like if Atlanta just took out Ritter and put in hinei

they would have won that game because you know it was I think it was a much closer game than the score really kind

of showed um yeah but them going they get they got Buffalo's number too that's

got to be something because I remember they beat them couple years a couple years ago or was it last year I think it

was a couple years ago it was like six to nine or something it was I remember it was a really low-scoring game um and

Trevor Lawrence I mean he's not he hasn't been the fir the number one pick

I would say that I think their defense has really showed out um it's definitely been a much better showing from their

defense oh yeah today I mean that's kind of been the thing all season with Jacksonville there's they're in their

defense I think is a top 10 unit I think might might be like top seven or something overall like they they usually

this season it's not the offense that's usually killing people like they're

really good at pass pass rush win rate and a bunch of other little you know

indicators of success but this Jacksonville defense they're the real deal they're uh they're showing up

every week and they're shutting down the Run game and they're able to get after the passer and they're they're giving

teams hell but you know it's the games they're losing Trevor Lawrence and the offense have looked pedestrian and the

offensive line in every game has been very very

questionable uh I don't know if it's people taking steps back or playing out

of position and they're just trying to make things work but uh Trevor Lawrence has been the most pressured quarterback

he didn't get sacked this week uh that makes three weeks in a row he's not been sacked he's been pressured a fair amount

but yeah uh Lawrence I mean just watching the game today every single

play he gets the snap he hits his drop the final step of his drop and then he

has to take off and like run through the pocket a little bit because somebody's getting through it's it's been the same

story every single week the Colts were able to get after him the Texans were able to get after him that's that's kind

of the way to get to the Jags is create a lot of pressure and Chaos on that offensive line and and so far they're

not answering that call but Trevor Lawrence despite that has been very very

accurate and very on the money when it comes to actually being able to get the

about middle of the pack right now they've they're averaging 21 points a game

keep thinking the Oilers uh Tennessee is 17.6 points per game by far worst in the

division yeah um kind of surprised I guess I I feel like Jacksonville's

little they moved him into left guard and then they've been letting Anton Harrison play right tackle and Anton

Harrison he's been all right but he's he's let up some key pressures at different times and uh I imagine Walker

little wasn't exactly a perfect fit at left guard for this week at least but you know they

need time to jail and they keep changing the pieces and with time the Jags and Duvall Nation

will be as I predicted early in the off season that they're it's their division

to lose I think they're GNA do just fine despite their offensive line woses early

on um let's move to Houston so congrats to CJ strad breaking the record for most

pass attempts without an interception to start his career um I'll say I was a I

was a doub on CJ stad you know Ohio State quarterback not not the biggest

guy I guess compared to what like you know running quarterbacks their athleticism um but he's I mean he's he's

a great decision maker he clearly I mean he does not turn the ball over and the

fact that he didn't get sacked he you said he hasn't been sacked in the last three weeks with that offensive line

that they have just taped together yeah with duct tape and string that's that's

a fantastic sign for the Texans I think you're being a little um what's word I'm

looking for here um a little I guess you're being a little nice to say it would be duct tape

it'd be more like caution tape with less rigidity you know that was the offensive line for the first two weeks of the

Season uh you we couldn't stop a nose bleed it was bad uh but the last three

weeks they've turned it around and given him a fair amount of clean pockets and he's been able to to dice him up his

completion percentage isn't you know what you would like it to be but he's moving the ball downfield and he's taken

shots even though he hasn't thrown an interception he's not dinking and dunking like his average yards per pass

is like seven and a half I think which isn't terrible uh I think the

career uh I think Jimmy grappo's like third in NFL history for yards per attempt at like

screens yeah he's he's given people chances there was a several balls today that could have been intercepted but

I think tank Dell leaving today uh with a concussion really hurt the way the offense flows because lately he's been

really really hot and they had to rely a little bit more on Robert Woods who also

left early in the game I think in the third quarter but he led everybody with

nine targets if I'm not mistaken uh well no I think Dalton Schultz had like 11 but he had like

talked about earlier uh the defense came to play they did its job the yardage

total was not at all where you'd like it to be they let up some really big plays on some Gadget stuff there was like a

double reverse that ended up being a pass from Drake London to JN new Smith that picked up about 20 25 yards um they

didn't capitalize on the two fumbles that they were manag they managed to create at all and uh that really kind of

hurt them they weren't able to get any sort of sustained drives going for much of the second half and that allowed the

the Falcons to score 14 in the fourth quarter and walk away with the ball game and that there just really wasn't much

that the Texans could do right even though it wasn't all going wrong it was

the moments that you really really needed somebody to step up somebody was getting toasted and Drake London was

throwing people around and and they were he was Finding Kyle pittz all day that was probably like the most action Kyle

pittz has seen since draft day I since since whatever bowl game he

played in at Florida if he even played in one I mean it's I I I had him I drafted him fantasy I got rid of him I

picked up K from Chicago yeah that's a solid yeah I mean it's just Pitts was I

I wanted to believe in him I was like this is the last time I'll believe in him and I took him and I was like well

you're you're dead to me now never touching this guy again with a 10- foot pole uh the Texans defense gave up 447

yards in offense yeah anybody was wondering on the specific number that's

interesting factoid about Desmond Ritter he's never lost a home game in the NFL

care he threw for 329 yards he's just not the guy I I feel like he's a game

you know 2030 million as a backup for the next 10 years I just can't see the guy as a starter I really can't well

here's the interesting part about him he plays under Arthur Smith who designed

Tennessee's offense to run around Ryan tanah Hill who you could argue is of the

same kind of ilk of game manager material and I think he knows how to

work with that because when he was there that's when they went to the AFC Championship game he then left to become

the Falcons head coach and brought in Mariota and you know whatever Tennessee players that Tennessee didn't want

anymore and uh became Tennessee South and you know they're they're putting

together some competitive teams and they're they're able to go out and uh even though they a couple of the games

they've lost they've lost by you know slim margins and this is a team that a lot of people were right off for the

season to be Bottom Feeders as well as pretty much the entire NFC South and

they're they're out here shaking it doing the damn thing I feel like what what Arthur Smith has done with these

Falcons teams I mean they should have a top five pick every year I feel like and

he's made some competition out of them I think that they were in that division race in the NFC South last year for I

mean I think it was up until till week 15 yeah at that point week maybe 16 um

so he's done a great job you know I I don't know if that is I don't know if that's from bringing in

the tech the Titans guys or no I think that's just what Arthur Smith does on offense man he just
