thank you

1:20

1:24

[Music]

1:28

it let's game

1:38

[Music]

1:42

you doing bro

1:44

you're late bro hey

1:52

whoa bro go go go go

1:56

you're welcome

2:02

[Music]

2:17

I'm uh I'm commissioner Alex boyage I'm

2:20

also a player

2:21

in in the chaotically Anton classic as

2:24

as a player commissioner I I have to be

2:27

able to have two separate

2:29

um

2:30

personalities just going into last year

2:33

it was brand new you know last year was

2:36

was brand new

2:37

um

2:38

we didn't have a trophy uh my dad got

2:41

his championship shirt you know weeks

2:43

after

2:44

um the tournament won we we had some

2:46

some I guess hiccups some major hiccups

2:49

last year it was

2:53

I don't want to insult anybody

2:55

but the competition

2:57

was not as good

2:59

[Music]

3:06

you know the competition was definitely

3:08

I think lower skilled

3:10

[Music]

3:18

dude just keep doing that bro please

3:21

that's not really I mean even

3:24

even I was I wasn't as good

3:29

please

3:33

[Music]

3:49

foreign

3:52

[Music]

3:53

this is the golden paddle

3:55

um this was originally going to be our

3:59

first

4:00

the main trophy you know this is going

4:03

to be the number one trophy

4:05

um the championship trophy but I was

4:07

like you know this is honestly it's a

4:09

little underwhelming for for a

4:12

championship trophy

4:14

um and I feel that this should be for

4:17

the regular season winner you know I

4:19

think I think the regular season winner

4:21

that is an honor to to go through three

4:24

weeks and I'll talk about our expansion

4:26

uh the at the end I guess

4:29

um but to go through three grueling

4:31

weeks of of play you know you play

4:34

you play nine games a week and then that

4:36

final final week you play 12. so

4:39

um

4:40

it's not easy you know you play 30 total

4:42

games and and you're number one you

4:44

deserve it and my dad did earn it you

4:47

know I do think he deserves it

4:49

um um I want to congratulate my father

4:51

Armin voyagin on winning the golden

4:53

paddle I know you guys don't want to

4:55

clap for him because he's derived

5:03

this trophy

5:05

um it's it's not a typical trophy right

5:12

[Music]

5:22

you know it's shiny

5:24

but there's also a ton of scratches and

5:26

and I think that does represent kind of

5:28

the battles that our guys go through

5:30

each and every week

5:36

anyway

5:43

yes five four let's go

5:46

there's some gold trim on the inside I

5:49

kind of like the silver and gold we have

5:51

the logo engraved in and then

5:54

um it's named after my grandfather uh

5:57

Ron voyage and you know me and him were

6:00

very close and he passed in in 2018 and

6:02

I I've always wanted to have something

6:05

you know to name after him kind of play

6:07

in his honor and you know this was I

6:10

thought this was a cool little idea this

6:11

is something that

6:13

um

6:13

all of this that I've worked really hard

6:15

at and and I felt like felt like it was

6:17

fitting to name it after him

6:20

um

6:20

so

6:22

let's um

6:39

I'm Leighton

6:42

um

6:42

one of the fierce competitors of the

6:44

chaotically intolerant classic

6:46

[Music]

6:51

um last year's tournament couldn't get

6:53

there

6:55

[Music]

6:58

the the skill level was there's very

7:02

clearly a lower class and upper class I

7:05

guess last year yeah it was very clear

7:08

who the winner was gonna be

7:11

before the end it was clear who was

7:14

gonna make it to that championship game

7:17

um fortunately I've played Angel easy

7:19

sweep

7:20

um

7:21

[Music]

7:23

items

7:25

[Music]

7:26

which that was fun that last year's

7:29

tournament but um yeah

7:32

um it was just

7:35

a lot

7:36

lower Stakes all around last year's

7:40

tournament

7:41

um this year

7:43

the production quality is a lot higher

7:46

I'm pretty excited for this stuff um you

7:49

know it's not we're not doing GoPro

7:51

footage on the chest where you know I'm

7:53

getting a migraine trying to watch it

7:57

[Music]

8:02

oh we got the drunk shots

8:06

[Music]

8:10

we've got the you know from the side of

8:12

the table from all angles seeing you

8:14

know what's happening a lot easier

8:17

[Music]

8:23

on top of that the competition was a lot

8:26

more Fierce this year and there was less

8:29

of that divide there's still you know a

8:31

couple of us were on the low end but we

8:34

still had the chance

8:35

except Angel but everyone else had a

8:38

chance and stuff like that and it really

8:40

did come down

8:41

all the way up to the final on who was

8:44

gonna win

8:52

um my name is Ivory

8:55

um as you guys can see in the video uh I

8:57

was in the chaotically intolerant

8:59

classic which was a ton of fun it was

9:03

very serious but had a good time

9:06

um

9:07

but yeah nothing nothing special to me

9:09

just turned 21. so that's pretty epic

9:12

yeah not much else

9:15

[Music]

9:20

I've kind of known Alex in high school

9:24

so it kind of helped

9:26

um you know get to know the guys and you

9:28

know with the environment and stuff but

9:31

they needed an extra player and uh my

9:35

buddy who is a part of the chaotically

9:38

intolerant crew

9:44

oh boy

9:48

um

9:49

honestly okay complete honesty I was

9:53

expecting to do very well because

9:56

anytime I've played you know an average

9:59

player at ping pong you know I do pretty

10:02

well

10:03

um but this was no average group it was

10:06

very competitive everybody was very

10:08

skilled so I think it added a lot to the

10:11

tournament having some really good

10:13

players you know it I think up to the

10:15

ante and the competition so

10:18

um yeah I wasn't expecting a lot going

10:19

into it but it was it was definitely a

10:22

lot

10:25

[Music]

10:27

I feel pretty good about myself I think

10:30

it's just consistency and consistently

10:32

getting

10:34

um to that level to where you can beat

10:36

people around your same level

10:45

I'm so glad to be here

10:48

I was very excited okay all right so I

10:52

want to congratulate Kevin on winning

10:54

the chaotic Division and my father I'm

10:56

winning

10:57

the tolerance division he might retire

11:00

at the end of this so um I had to go out

11:03

in Blazer glory after anything yes well

11:06

you're the defending champion

11:07

yes how is that how does it feel going

11:10

into this how did you feel going into

11:12

this as the defending Champion well

11:13

before the season started I saw the

11:16

better players was boring

11:18

and now

11:20

and now seeing that there's a good

11:22

players it's exciting

11:27

[Music]

11:33

[Music]

11:37

so

11:39

how did you feel heading into week one

11:41

fine

11:43

I'm gonna laugh really a little bit do

11:46

you have any did you have any

11:46

expectations for yourself to win

11:51

give me a lot to work with here

11:54

um

12:00

I guess man

12:21

Uh Kevin Steinfeld just uh participated

12:25

in the 2023 chaotically and tolerant

12:28

classic

12:29

the had an amazing time you know Alex

12:32

and his father Armin hosted us and we're

12:36

amazing hosts and I think everyone I

12:38

think I could speak for everyone uh

12:40

when I said that we all had a great time

12:42

and that it was very well hosted

12:45

presented organized and yeah it was just

12:49

very well put together

12:52

[Music]

12:54

so I didn't really know what to expect

12:57

necessarily from

12:58

the tournament because there's you know

13:01

there could be people of

13:03

all different skill levels

13:15

I knew they were gonna be good I didn't

13:16

really know again about to tell love of

13:18

everyone else so I assumed I would have

13:19

some success because I you know I know

13:21

that I'm pretty good but uh

13:24

yeah they were great players I didn't

13:26

really

13:28

you know realized that uh Alex you know

13:31

boyzone was gonna be as good as he was

13:34

or his dad arm and boys I'm just going

13:37

to be as good as he was you know not to

13:39

exclude any other bad boy yesterday

13:55

so yeah I just wasn't really sure what

13:57

to expect with all that

14:07

little Scarlet uh one of the competitors

14:10

in the chaotically intolerant classic of

14:13

2023 here you know I I'm a little bit

14:16

cocky with my expectations being that I

14:20

played

14:21

a lot of tennis in my background and I'm

14:23

used to competing

14:25

and I I competed for seven years or so

14:27

pretty seriously in tennis

14:29

so I'm used to the game of competing I

14:31

was just excited to

14:33

to really compete

14:40

[Music]

14:46

and just test myself because I haven't I

14:49

haven't actually competed seriously in

14:51

ping pong ever

14:53

so I was excited to try it out and see

14:54

what I could do when I'm actually

14:56

serious about playing

15:09

you know I I almost kind of enjoyed

15:13

starting out at a negative I felt like

15:16

it uh

15:17

it almost motivated me more to play at a

15:20

higher level

15:21

[Music]

15:27

[Music]

15:32

because there's starting two and seven

15:35

there's no room for error and if I want

15:38

to climb the seating ranks before the

15:41

tournament and I I did want to do that

15:43

so I use that more as fuel to just play

15:46

as good as I can

16:00

I'm Jackson Greer

16:04

[Music]

16:06

in terms of ping pong and how I got

16:09

started

16:10

me and my dad would play ping pong like

16:13

in middle school because we just got a

16:14

new table

16:15

and then

16:16

we would always hang out at our friend

16:18

Ken's place our friend group and so me

16:22

Kevin Seinfeld and some of the other

16:23

guys would just start playing ping pong

16:25

and then of course we kind of got

16:26

addicted to it that would just be a

16:27

thing every time

16:28

whenever we went over to Ken's house we

16:30

just played ping pong and me and Kevin

16:32

would continue doing that at FSU and um

16:36

and then right before I came down he

16:37

talked about your tournament and how he

16:39

got invited and was inviting me to do it

16:41

so I figured I'd give it a shot so

16:46

[Music]

16:52

well the goal was definitely to win

16:54

obviously

16:56

um it was interesting the first day

16:58

getting there

16:59

and seeing the different skill levels

17:02

like obviously your dad right off the

17:04

bat was like

17:05

and you I think the first match I saw

17:07

was between you two

17:08

and

17:10

I knew that that would be an interesting

17:12

matchup against me against you guys and

17:15

then because me and Kevin are like on

17:16

the same level

17:17

because we're always playing together

17:20

um so I was very curious about how those

17:22

matchups were gonna go

17:24

yeah

17:24

um

17:25

yeah obviously just to win it my first

17:28

matchup my first actual matchup was

17:29

versus your dad and I got absolutely

17:32

swept and there's probably a mixture of

17:35

like getting used to a serve because his

17:37

serve was definitely the best serve of

17:39

the tournament yeah and getting back

17:42

into ping pong because I haven't really

17:43

played ping pong for a minute

17:46

so I was as soon as I got swept by your

17:48

dad I was excited to play him again so I

17:50

was like I can't let that happen again

17:51

that was not good I my place I was very

17:53

laid back I'm like making the opponent

17:55

make the mistake kind of thing and then

17:57

like if they give me the opportunity I

17:58

would make a good hit but yeah Mike was

18:02

just you know he's just so precise with

18:04

where he wants to hit it and then so if

18:06

I'd hit a good hit back

18:08

would be a little too high it's just a

18:09

perfect hit for him so he was always

18:11

going to be a tough matchup

18:14

um but everyone else I feel like it

18:15

would always be a good series like we

18:17

had a great series me and your dad had a

18:19

great second series

18:21

um me and Kevin always had close games

18:23

and um

18:25

yeah no there were definitely some good

18:27

matchups in there and I think I did

18:28

pretty well

18:30

considering uh the different skill

18:32

levels and stuff like that

18:39

[Music]

18:48

I need to keep going keep going do that

18:50

again

19:07
