All right, welcome back. Episode two forty of Chaotically Intolerant. We have the ultimate NFL preview episode today. we have all time Ravens draft. we have Caleb's gonna give us his Patriots take real quick at the top of the show. me and Mike are going through and talking about every single team. and then a also a little Ravens preview for you Ravens fans. So
Make sure to vote on the draft at chaoticallyintolerant.com. Go check out John at Springhill Sports Cards. go check out Mike at draftamerica.com, and let's go.
All right, Caleb. sorry about the Patriots. Tough night. Didn't look good. No. hitters have a hard time. I mean, on a positive note, defense looks solid. I mean, granted, they were playing a backup quarterback, but I like I liked how you injured Sam Darnold though. I I personally think the Seahawks are going to be a similar team no matter who's playing quarterback for them. Maybe that's a hot take. I don't know.
Drew Lock look like you fit into that system pretty pretty solidly. I like how Christian Gonzalez looked first first game off of the new contract. I don't think JSN in man coverage did anything against him. I know he had the big touchdown when they were running zone, Gonzalez on the other side of the field. But like how Christian Gonzalez looked. I like how Will Campbell looked, only allowed one pressure the entire game, which was kind of huge because he looked awful that whole playoff run.
but Drake May didn't do the team any favors. Obviously, I'm the biggest Drake May defender on this podcast for sure. he made s some horrible decisions. He's he's trying to make throws that aren't there. He just he did not look prepared for the game. Like he he he panicked. It's not like he was having an offensive line breakdown in front of him, like like was the case for a lot of the playoffs, I think.
I think it's just a lapse in judgment, lack of repetition. He didn't get any looks in the preseason, which I'm maybe it's an old man take of me. I think starters should play in the preseason a little more. especially for when it's situations like this, you see Drake May come out and he's making his first NFL throw in what six months. So I'm not worried per se. the the the game was a little concerning.
We do have I can't remember if it's the Jets or Dolphins next week. We have an easy easy game next week. So I I he should be back on track if he is himself. yeah, I'm I'm I'm not too worried. Hideous game to watch. Josh McDaniels didn't do him any favors. He's treating him like he's a forty year old non mobile quarterback. He's throwing slants and and check downs and and and screens. It's it it w I think it was just a bad game.
all overall for the entire team. So bounce back next week. And it's week one. Like it's week one. We lost everyone. We lost the Raiders week one. We lost the Raiders. Yeah, it doesn't look right. And yeah, I if we want to talk for like two minutes on the Australia because we have a couple minutes. it's Australia. Like I'm not taking either team seriously. especially the Rams, I think. Like I think I think the important thing is how these teams respond.
And the travel thing is how they respond. Like if the Rams come back and look great because they only spent twenty-four hours in Australia, I say they really won the game if the Niners come back and look shitty for the next two weeks and they look jet lagged. So it really only matters how they I mean, you can drop one game in the NFL and be okay. If you're a really good team, like like the Rams are. So I'm not reading into it too much. Just they it was just
Really stupid travel. Fuck the international games as well. but yeah, whatever. Who cares? John Well, I I covered it in our I'm gonna talk about that in our other segment, but yeah, it's the stupidest thing alive. Nine was it nine nine international games this year? Eight or nine. Yeah, do we have to spread it all over the world? Like do we have to make them fly on the the other side of the earth for their first season or first game of the season?
I hate it and every time I see it on the Chiefs schedule I cringe. Put the preseason games there. Do that. Fine. Put the Pro Bowl there.
Put the Pro Bowl in Mel Burnout. Exactly. What's that? Never heard of it. Well, we we had the idea in a later segment to have the coaches either play a game or just fight each other. That's the Pro Bowl. That'd be sick. Do a massive fight bracket. That'd be pretty sick. That's true. He can't he can't train. He can't train for that.
He's training. Alrighty. Well, we're going to move in to the next segment. All right. NFL preview. this is the official chaotic intolerant NFL preview. Now we do have the Baltimore Ravens draft coming at you as well later in the episode, but we're gonna talk about every single team that is out there. And we're gonna start in New York with the Buffalo Bills. I this team is gonna win the division.
I think they're gonna win the AFC East. and it's not really a knock against the New England Patriots. It's just Patriots are coming off of a really tough Super Bowl loss. Now they have to play on opening night on Wednesday, which has already happened when this releases. I'm gonna say the Patriots won, though. I'm gonna say they won that game in Seattle. But I just don't really have a ton of faith in New England after a season like it was last year. They're gonna have a lot.
di more difficult of a schedule. And Patriots fans, if you get offended, Caleb, if you get offended, I'm sorry. It is just statistics that this is going to be a more difficult season as it stands right now. Now I think strength of schedule is kind of bullshit when it comes to preseason. It really only matters at the end of the year when you're trying to gauge what playoff team is really good. but I see the Bills here. You add DJ Moore. That's going to be a massive upgrade for Josh Allen and it's Josh Allen.
Like I it does not matter. It doesn't matter. It's Josh Allen. so yeah, I I really like the Bills here. Mike, how you feeling on the Bills and the Patriots? Because the other two teams suck. Yeah, Jets Dolphins are winning the division. I'm gonna say it's the Bills. Yeah, I I agree with you. I don't think the Bills are gonna like dominate though. I mean, I feel like it's more that the Patriots will step back with though the the last year the schedule was
Ridiculous and maybe the variable stuff, I don't I don't know if that's a distraction now, but maybe it's karma. I don't know. I mean I don't think the Patriots are like gonna plummet, but man, I just they're not gonna be anywhere near fourteen and three. Doesn't doesn't AJ Brown at this point feel a little bit like a red flag in New England? Just a little bit.
Getting him was a red flag or he's a just him being there. They they ki they survived the Stefan Diggs experience. Yeah. Knowing, you know, kind of the off the field stuff. And now you get AJ Brown where it feels like they're tempting fate, getting these really good wide receivers who are just they're divas. Like they divas. I think it's fair to say A.J. Brown is a diva. Feels it feels desperate. I mean, Mike Vrabel was on three Super Bowl winning teams where the best receiver was probably
Deion Branch, who was a good receiver. Sure, he was a Super Bowl 39 MVP, but he wasn't the status of Diggs or AJ Brown. Yeah. You know? And so, one, how much do they trust Drake May that they feel like they need to bring in? Obviously, you always want to have good players. I'm not saying don't bring in good players, but you're right in that Diggs, Brown, these guys. Brown probably a little less of a diva than Diggs. I mean, hard to be a bigger
D.Va than Stefan Diggs. I think when you're in Philly as well, it does kind of elevate things. So maybe he it is New England as well, but Philly just feels like it's a little bit more volatile and people react to the environment that they're in. So he might have been a little bit more volatile than he normally is. Yeah. Yeah. Patriots had a very I mean, they were good last year. I'm gonna say it was all luck. It's hard to win 14 games with luck, but they had
A lot of things go their way last year. They need run the ball. That's gonna really tell you about where they go. Yeah, there's gonna be a good I think it'll be a good race, but I'm gonna give the edge to Buffalo. Yeah. And it was a weird off season for Mike Vrabel. A very weird off season. A lot of off the field loss. You know, the the hangover of the Super Bowl loss. and this isn't Bill Belichick and Brady handling off the field. Right, right. Well the last time I'm doing from other players.
They won the next year, so who knows, but Yeah, that's true. to the Dolphins, I mean, really nothing to talk about here. they're in a major, major shift in the franchise. pretty much every player from that kind of mini run that they had. I I don't even know if you want to call it a run. They went to the playoffs a few times. but you know, the two a era, I guess is the fairest thing to say.
the major players are gone, you know, Tyreek being being one of them who still remains unsigned, at this very moment. Or at this moment we're recording before the Wednesday games.
Devon A Chan. That's all I'm gonna say. Devon A Chan. I I he'll get a lot of touches. He's gonna I think he's gonna have a lot of fun. but besides that, I really don't see anything super interesting. Malik Willis, he got a contract off of being the backup in Green Bay. Right. You know. Nah, it's just not in it's not encouraging. It's not encouraging at all. Feels like a one year, one year starter guy. He'll get six seventeen games and then he'll go back, you know, to be in the back.
Yeah, I don't have a lot to say on the Dolphins, except they've been in an incredible rut of mediocrity. I think it's something along the lines of like I don't know, seventeen of the last twenty one or somewhere in their seasons where their win totals have always been between like seven and nine or seven and ten. Like an insane run of just meh. and now they're finally it feels like committing to more of a rebuild. So good for them. And hopefully it works out. I mean they're they're
The franchise has too much history to be this pitiful. They right now they have the longest drought of not winning a playoff game. I was there, I was against the Colts. It was a cold December thirtieth day in two thousand. So it's been a really long time since Miami has experienced a playoff win. And I There's another team there's another team on here that has a lot of history that is in the same division that really just fucking stinks and it's the New York Jets. All right, I
Are people like selling themselves on Geno Smith again that he's coming back?
I've heard a few people say things about Geno Smith saying that the Jets are gonna be okay. I mean, you can say whatever you want to me. There's no there no rational human being is gonna discuss the Jets as a legitimate wildcard contender into December. Like I don't think they play a game in December where anyone's like, if they go on a run, you know, maybe they could they could pick up a wildcard spot. I
I would be incredibly confident saying that. Yeah, Jets aren't I I I don't know. I think if they win six games, it's major improvement. They're just bad. I don't have anything to say on the Jets. I think the Jets are the only team that New York would maybe go close to as crazy for as they did for the Knicks. That's all I'll say. The Jets everywhere. to the AFC North, we already did discuss or we discussed the Ravens in the Maryland spotlight, but we're gonna do
Just a little bit on them as well. But if you want to listen to our full breakdown, go to the Maryland Spotlight. but I mean it's Lamar again. fantasy wise, if you are playing fantasy, Lamar is going to go a little later than than Josh Allen, but he's got the exact same ceiling, I think, as Josh Allen. He can go crazy. But besides that, Ravens lose, you know, big offensive linemen. but it's a brand new coaching staff, new beginnings for the for the Ravens. So
I think it's an exciting time. I don't know if they're winning the division, though. I'm gonna let you talk about them for a second and then I'm gonna think about it. I mean, I think I think Cincinnati's the biggest the biggest threat. I think a healthy Joe Burrow, an improved defense. I think the Bengals are gonna be right there with the Ravens. I do. yeah, I'm gonna go with the Ravens. I'm gonna I'm gonna take the Ravens to the win to win the division. The more I look at this
This feels like a very high pressure year for Cincy one. I know Joe Burrow still has like four years left on his contract. I think he's up in twenty thirty-one would be his final year. I think if things go sour this year, he's forcing his way out. And a team will pay a hefty sum, and the Bengals will know that this is at this point, this is probably the most we could get for Joe Burrow. Now, if everything goes right, you have
Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase, T. Higgins, and Chase Brown all on the offense. I don't really see anything besides Dexter Lawrence, I don't really see too much interest in the defense. That it really wasn't that much. And, you know, you lose Trey Hendrickson, and you have the same defensive coordinator. So nothing really interesting in Cincy. But if Joe Burrow is healthy, I see them making the playoffs as a wildcard team.
I I fully agree. Yeah. I think they'll I think they're gonna get to ten wins. Yeah, I think ten wins as long as Burrow is Burrow, where Burrow goes, the Bengals go. If he is healthy, they are going to win football games no matter what. If you have Chase, Higgins, Burrow, and Brown. to to my favorite team. This is just my favorite team in this division. the Cleveland Browns. Don't make fun of Deshaun Watson. Don't be mean.
Don't boo him. It's not nice. He has feelings too. The two hundred and thirty million dollar guaranteed man has feelings too. And it shouldn't matter how bad he plays, you're not allowed to boo him. Be nice to Deshaun Watson. I don't care how questionable of a sexual history he has. Be nice to him. It's mean. It's rude. no, I mean it's the fucking Browns. They traded away Miles Garrett, and I know, you know, I know who they got back for.
the forum. Who where's where's my god, why am I blanking on his name right now?
Nay, am I crazy? I didn't write his name down either. What the fuck? They're big they're big acquisition from LA. Remind me, please. The the Brown Verse? Jared Verse. I don't know why. Yeah. Ohio's Ohio zone, Jared Verse. Yeah, I mean, I just don't really see anything exciting. The defense is probably gonna be good. They're gonna run the ball well. It's it's the Browns way, but the quarterback is just it's not gonna be soft.
I I'm not gonna be I would honestly I'd rather see Shador. I really would rather see Shador. Like I'm not even kidding. I'm not even joking. Like I joke about him being a Pro Bowler, which killed the Pro Bowl, by the way. Like it officially it officially officially killed the Pro Bowl, him being a pro bowler. But Yeah, I I just see nothing interesting. David Njoku. He's he's interesting, right? Yeah.
no. Did they lose David and Joku?
Let's see. Yes, he yes they did. He's in he's in LA. Sorry about that. so he's not even there. So there's nothing to be exciting about or excited about on this team. So don't even nobody try and sell me on KC Concepcion or or Denzel Boston. the Browns are bad. Mike? Yeah, I don't know again, I don't have a lot to say. I just I I just I hate these terrible franchises. It just
Just can't like how can you not I they've had like one or two lucky years here and there, but how can you not even have like a little run of success? Watson They did. They did. And that quarterback just signed a three year deal with another team. No, but they haven't had like I'm not talking about like two years. That's success for them. That is success. If that guy, I forget who it was, Higgins maybe, fumbled through the end zone against the Chiefs, the Browns maybe
May have been in the AFC championship game that year against the Bills. To fair, it was it was helmet to helmet. Probably. I mean that was I'm I'm I'll give the Browns that one. I was really mean to them. I don't know. I just I think the Browns are gonna stink. I like Todd Munkin. I hope he goes with Shader Sanders. I hope Deshaun Watson just I just want it to be worse and worse for the Browns. They just I just want it to be a thing where you're like, okay, well it can't get any worse. wait, hold my beer.
So we'll see. Yeah. Yeah. is this is the Deshaun Watson thing worse than the Owen sixteen? because then they were so and completely utterly bad, but this is humiliating. Like I feel like Owen sixteen, you just think back and you're like, they were so, so bad. But Deshaun Watson is humiliating. Yeah, they mean they were well, they won one game in two years, because they were one in fifteen.
In 2016. And I'm convinced to this day that they they impacted the Patriots 28 to 3 win in the Super Bowl because my theory was they their one win that year was over the Chargers, who beat the Falcons. And I was like, well, the Falcons, they just won't be allowed to win the Super Bowl because they lost to the team that lost to the should have been 0-16 Browns. I mean, that was that was bad, but I think you're right because the at that point.
People were used to seeing that level of product on the field from the Browns, even maybe not quite that low, but close enough, you know. but when you start factoring in off the field stuff, of course you know what happened with Manzell flaming out as one thing, but Watson that wasn't it wasn't that. He didn't make that kind of money and he was yeah, they everybody knew they were stretching. The owner listened to a homeless guy to draft him, and that was the the the urban legend there. or maybe it's true, I don't know. But
Yeah, so I think the Browns are yeah. It's ugly. It's just ugly. Y I but my joke, you know, you can't name your football team after the color of you know shit. There you go. all right, and then the Pittsburgh Steelers. it's a reunion in Pittsburgh. They added Michael Pittman Jr. as well and Rico Dowdle. I think this team
Dare I say it. They're gonna win they're gonna win nine games. They're gonna be the Pittsburgh C they're gonna be the Pittsburgh Steelers and they're gonna have winning record. I just eight eight not excited about Aaron Rodgers. I'm not excited about any of this. I wanna see like I don't want anything bad to happen. I don't want him to get hurt, but I want him to have a bad thing. No, of course not.
He just wanted to have a bad year and have something stupid happen to him in his last game where he throws like a pick and costs him a playoff spot and that's how he To be fair, he donated not to get political, he donated about thirty seven thousand dollars, I think it was thirty seven thousand dollars to a local police police force to install flock cameras because he was being stuck.
Flock camera. Flock cameras. The the giant monitoring cameras that just watch you every single day and let you do nothing without being watched. And that it's Flock Rogers. He's that's gonna be that's gonna be his name. Well I mean like at least at least I mean he's I don't think he's a bad guy at all. He's a strange guy for sure, but Yeah, I just wanna see him have like a weird ending to his career and
Or like McCarthy makes a dumb coaching call that cost him a postseason berth. Yeah, I think the Steelers will just be right in the middle. I don't see them being good or bad. Yeah. to the AFC South. well, the Houston Texans, CJ Stroud has lost all his aura. the way he walked into into camp. he looked like a fifth grader walking into camp in his pajamas or something like that. I don't know.
but that, you know, just coming off that wouldn't it just feel right if they won like two games or three games coming off of that playoff loss? I know they're not going to. They're they're definitely a better better team than that. they also just they just can't keep a w a wide receiver healthy. I mean, d was it they they law who'd they lose in the in the in mini camp?
Seaver.
The guy would never work. The guy from the Patriots, Bo Bootet. It did was it him? Well, that's who they picked up.
No, it wasn't him. I think it was Tank No, it wasn't Tank Dell.
it was. It was Jaden Higgins. Jaden Higgins had a season ending injury in camp. they just can't keep a guy healthy. It's one of one of the stranger things I've seen. But I mean again, this is gonna be a team. They're gonna they're gonna feast on a very weak division again. but I think there's I think it's I think the talent is spread around really well in the AFC South right now.
And it's not that everyone's really, really good and you're gonna see a Super Bowl run, but it feels like everyone is kind of on the same kind of level here. No one is crazy better than the other. Like you can point to the AFC East and be like, There are two teams that are head and shoulders ahead of two other teams. You can point to the AFC North and say, Hell, there's three teams that are head and shoulders ahead of one of them. Maybe maybe two ahead of two.
But the AFC South, like I s I look at everyone, and if people stay reasonably healthy, they're all gonna be pretty good teams and they're gonna cannibalize each other. Yeah. Yeah, I feel like we should just well, I know you wanna talk a little on the Colts, but I I feel like to me, I I just wanna lump the three together, not just for for timing's sake, but also because I feel like the AFC South is just all one team. It's just all the same team.
You know. It does. It it really does. I mean, I'm looking well, we can talk a little bit about I just don't care how good the Texans defense is. I feel like I feel like for all the hate that Trent Dilfer gets, I don't know that CJ Stroud would have been good or competent enough to win with the two thousand Ravens. I I I think like physically he's got it. Mentally he's so broken. He is. I just there's just it just isn't there. And I can't imagine a playoff loss like that in New England.
Is helping that right now. No, no. I could see Davis Mills coming in getting hot or something for a little bit. yeah, I I don't know. I feel like the Jags, they're not gonna win 13 games again. But you know, Travis Hunter's good. That'll be kind of fun to see a two-way player. And then Tennessee will be a little better, I guess. They could be like not a surprise, surprise, but they could be like a little bit of a
Little bit of improvement. I I actually I'm very high on the Titans. adding Wandale Robinson, Carnell Tate. I mean, listen, it it's it's not gonna be a great team by any means. Like the Titan, I'm not saying the Titans are gonna go out there and be world beaters, but you have a a leader of men is what a lot of people will call him in Robert Salah. you have a second year
for you know, number one pick quarterback. And I mean an offen you know, some offensive weapons that are I mean, you got Tony Pollard in there. This is not a bad offense. I think the Titans are going to be I think they're going to be in every single AFC South game. They're they are not going to get their asses kicked once. I'm looking at the other game. I mean they have games against the Jets, the Raiders,
Yeah. The Raiders, is that correct? I don't know if that's correct. Yeah, no, that's correct. Jets, Raiders. I mean, they got the Lions, the Ravens, the Bengals, like these are not teams that are guarantees. And I could see Tennessee doing
Okay. I'm not hating the Titans. I'm not hating the Titans at all. I hate the Jaguars actually more than I hate the Titans. I think the Jaguars will finish with a worse record than the Tennessee Titans. I don't think they got better at all this offseason. They did almost nothing this offseason. And Trevor Lawrence, I mean, you could see it from a mile away when Buffalo went into Jacksonville. There was no way Jacksonville was winning that game. And does it feel like
Does it feel like the peak is there? Like Lawrence had that run against the Chiefs. Was it the Chiefs where he dug you know he like bounced off a few guys and dove into the end zone on Monday night football? Yeah. It feels like that was like the peak. And we're never gonna see it again. Yeah. I just don't see anything interesting about about the Jaguars. and then to the Colts. They were eight and two for a reason last year.
Right. I mean I think everyone can agree that they were eight and two. they had Cam Taylor Britt. I mean again I
It didn't again, their offseason didn't feel crazy, crazy, crazy exciting. you would have hoped after kind of the collapse that happened last year, you would maybe go out and make a a nice big splash and you know, you give Alec Pierce a lot of money and then he has offseason surgery. But listen, it's Daniel Jones. You never know what you're gonna get from him. You never know what you're gonna get from this football team. I'm always gonna have
Some hope. And again, they play in the AFC South. So there are a lot of wins there. Do I make the prediction that they break the Jacksonville Curse finally? I feel like this might this might have to be it. I think this is the first year in a very long time that they have had the same starting quarterback starting in week one as in week two. Or did we break that? Which is very sad. Or sorry. Same starting quarterback in week one and back to back years.
I hope that's right, 'cause that'd be pretty cool. If that's true, then yeah, they're gonna break it in in Jacksonville. They'll break they'll break that horrible streak.
Just to be a homer, I'm gonna pick the Colts to win the division. I feel like after you start eight and two, like there's a reason they got there. Now this is like the first year without Jim Ursay's death kind of looming over the team, and and you have Carly Urse running the show completely now. Like this is her squad. Chris Ballard is like heavily on the hot seat. I don't know how he keeps his job after this year. I really don't know how. And it just feels like
If they win the division, it's just by default. It really is. It's just by default that they just won it because the other teams were not that good. I'm I'm really not high on the Colts. but I guess there are reasons to get me excited. And don't tell me Keenan Allen is a big addition. He's he's not. He he might be okay. I mean, Anthony Richardson hit him for like twenty yards in a preseason game and everyone lost their minds. But
I mean the guy's coming off a DUI, so you know. I have no reason to be excited for him. But anything on the Colts, Mike? No, I mean I think they'll be they'll be in the mix. I'll just take Houston to win the division just so they can lose at home in the playoffs. They never lose in the wildcard round. But they've also never gotten to the championship game. So this year, something's gotta give, and I think they're gonna lose in the wildcard round. Yeah. okay. I'll say
It's not crazy if the Colts sneak into the seventh. Into the seventh spot either. I actually I don't think it's crazy for any of these teams to sneak into the seventh spot. just again by virtue of maybe the AFC is not that good this year. And the seventh spot you can get in there with nine wins. to the West, the Denver Broncos. The big question on everyone's mind is Bo Nicks going to be Bo Nicks.
Yeah, I think he will be. I think the Broncos are really underrated, I guess. Is is that the in this case is it underrated? I mean, you look where they got last year and they would have absolutely beat New England with Bo Knicks, but yeah, I mean they got a good defense. Sean Payton, you know, he knows how to keep teams relevant. I think Denver's gonna be good. I think they're gonna I think they'll I'm gonna pick him to win the division.
Again. Division back to back in the West, really. I was gonna say the big Chargers, but then I'm like, no. Maybe it could be the Chargers. That's a that's a pretty big one here. I am trying to find the Colts, but what about the Raiders? How how are we feeling on the Raiders? 'cause I just I don't I don't get it. I really don't. You're going with Kirk Cousins.
Like Brock Bowers is very good. He's gonna he's gonna get you a lot of fantasy points. Is Genty Genty's okay? Did he hurt it he hurt his ankle, correct? But I think it was just a sprain. They get to eight wins, so have a parade. Raiders stink.
let's see, ankle sprain. Okay. he should be playing week one is what they say. And actually Daniel Jones is not gonna be the first Colts quarterback since Andrew Luck, to go back to back in week one. It was Anthony Richardson. forgot he
Really sad. Anthony Richardson, by the way, back up, back up quarterback. But I still think we'll we'll beat the record in Jacksonville. Who knows? to the Chargers. I'm just I'm not doing it. I'm not buying in. I've been fooled. I'm not doing it again. huh. Yeah. Fringe playoff team. Yeah. they'll maybe
Maybe they win a wild card game if they get matched up against the South. Houston. That's their one. Yeah. Houston. Kansas City. If Patrick Mahomes is Patrick Mahomes, I don't care. They're winning the division. I just don't care. If he is Patrick Mahomes and he feels and looks like Patrick Mahomes, they're gonna win the division. it's not going to be close to like a runaway by any means. This is a competitive division.
with Denver, but and again, the Chargers will win some big games in the division. You can count you can count on them for that. They will win some big games in the in the division. but I am a f I have been fooled before. I still believe in Kansas City even after last year. I still believe in Patrick Mahomes even after last year. So and Bienemis back. The big piece, the offensive coordinator is back. so
Even despite some off season some off the field off season issues. But I think I think Kansas City's back. Yeah, they're back. They'll be in the playoffs. I wouldn't be shocked, obviously they won division either. I mean we'll see how they look in week one. They played Denver, so that could that could go a long way. In that one game, it could be looking back at week one and end of the season. think I I'm I'm I'm not even that
Curious or I'm not that worried about Mahomes. I think he'll be fine. I'm just curious if the Chiefs' defense is still gonna be good and if they're gonna run the ball. Like those are two things that they did really well. Kind of you don't think about it as much because there's always Mahomes and the offense, but defense really carried him in 23 was really good in 22 also. So does Kenneth Walker feel like a little bit of a trap? gets a nice nice big fat contract after winning Super Bowl MVP, and everyone's like he's gonna be
The big guy in in Kansas City. And I feel like we've seen that before. We've seen a Super Bowl MVP get a nice contract, or just in sports, like the championship round MVP get a big contract and then just really not do much after that. Yeah, I think he'll be good, not great. Yeah. to the NFC, we're gonna go to the NFC East with the Dallas Cowboys. they do have a brand new defensive coordinator in Christian Parker.
the offense added Marquez Valdez Scantling. I'm not picking them to win the Super Bowl because it's not happening. The Dallas Cowboys are not winning the Super Bowl. I'm really sorry to say. This is gonna be a really good offense though. Yeah. This this is gonna be a great offense. They're gonna score a lot of points. And if the defense can be just a little bit better, they they very well could win that division.
Death just be average, right? Just be average. The NFC championship game. yeah. I could see them winning the division. I think they'll make the playoffs. I think they'll squeak in as a wild card. And they'll play like a really fun playoff game with a lot of points, but probably lose. I'm like the Green Bay game. Yeah, gre well.
Yeah, yeah. Well, they got clobbered. They went down big and then they started to come back and then Green Bay kind of stopped. They scored a lot of points. There's a lot of points. I'm thinking more Green Bay, Arizona, two thousand nine. Rogers Warner, fifty one forty five on the Carlos Dansby fumble. But I think they'll be good. I think Philly will win the division. I think the Giants will be good. My like bold prediction will be the Giants getting the nine wins. Maybe it not not being enough. We can we can
We can fuck around and say nine. That might be the enough though. Why couldn't they win the division? I don't think Philly's as good as they've been. They're good, but I don't know. Something fell off about them last year, but I also just don't trust anyone more than I trust them. Yeah, Philly, you're gonna ha I mean they have Sean Mannion now in in the coaching in the coaching office. so it's gonna be a little bit more creative of an offense for Philly.
Which I think that bodes well, you know, especially you lose AJ Brown. I think that creativity can maybe make up for for the loss of that guy. And you're you're gonna see Devontae Smith. I think I mean he's gonna try and step up and step into that number one gap. that's missing now. But you do have Hollywood Brown who's who's fast. you know about Hollywood Brown very well. Yeah, Jalen Hurts, I mean
Knowing Philly, knowing that they fired Doug Peterson what two years after they won the Super Bowl? Was that correct? Three years after they won the Super Bowl? I mean, how much more of a lifespan does this guy have here in or in Philly?
Can't be that long. Well, I mean they I mean the thing was that at Peterson's last year they were four and twelve and they had that horrible thing where they pulled Hertz for Nate Sudfeld. I mean I I think as long as Siriani keeps the Eagles in the hunt, I don't think he's getting fired. I don't know. That se it seems like in most cities, most teams, we wouldn't even be talking about that. But because it's Philly, it's like well if the Eagles have a bad year, Siriani fired, they'd have to have a really bad year.
For for me to even start thinking about him getting fired. At that yeah, kind of Yeah. At this point it feels like Siriani has a bit more of a leash than Arts. Yeah, absolutely. and then we did you touched on the Giants. I I'm so low on the Giants. It's it's just it's the gi I mean, hearing Harbaugh give his speech was the least motivating thing I've ever ever seen.
there's just they're they're getting excited about an aging Odell to come back and he's barely making the roster. Like this is just gonna turn out really bad, I feel like. I mean You know, there I mean and even Jackson Dark got, you know, political this offseason. You gotta be listen, you gotta be a good quarterback to get political. Right? I mean, I think you gotta be really good. And then even then a lot of those quarterbacks
don't even get involved because they're too focused on football because they are psychos and they only focus on football. they don't even think about politics. Brady was he was Brady was friends with Trump before long before it was a political thing, right? So it was like not a think so. Is that yeah, is that true? Right? He won his first Super Bowl, yeah, two thousand two.
Yeah, I don't I don't know about all that. I just think it Harbaugh's gotta really be committed and convinced that Dart is the guy. If he's gonna put that work in, he's gonna develop that relationship. Cause he came in, look, he came in with Flacco in 08. Dart's had a year and a is it year? Has he been in two years? I can't even remember. Yeah. This is last year he was a rookie. Yeah. So he didn't hand pick him, so it's a little different, but if he feels like he's the guy, then
It's really imperative that they get off to a good start. They develop a good rapport. I was talking about that, the Ravens, the coaching relationship with the quarterback, developing that trust, you know, because if there's friction or if there's doubt, things can go south really fast. Like Ben McAdoo, second year he got the Giants to the playoffs his first year and then the whole flap with sitting Eli Manning and boom, he was he was gone weeks after that. He was fired in just a second year. So it can turn south in a hurry.
Yeah. And then to the Commanders, a team that has been south. I think I think we're passing up on the Commanders a little bit. I kinda I don't know. I go back and forth on it 'cause Jaden Daniels kinda had a a tough off season too with the L S U stuff and the five. I mean, th the guy's gonna get dunked on pretty much all season if he's bad. I it's just it just socially he's gonna get dunked on.
And the offensive line is really bad. That's that's my concern. Yeah, the offensive line is really what starts and ends there for me with the commanders why I think they'll be better than they were last year because they Daniels missed time and all that. But I know I just don't think they're a good enough team to cross the board. I I'm gonna say I'm gonna stick with Philly. Yeah. As my division winner. but again, Dallas, look out. I think that might I think they might be fighting
down the stretch with with Philly for that, for the division. To the North, the Chicago Bears. a team that you would kind of expect to have some offseason, you know, drama going on. Been very quiet. It's been very quiet in Chicago, and I think that's a really good thing, considering kind of the polarization of Caleb Williams. People like him, people hate him, the fingernails. Ben Johnson ripping his shirt off in the locker room, screaming, getting, you know
Not wanting to shake hands at at center field with some of his quote rivals. but having a quiet off season, it it sounds like they're I really like I just really like him. This is the time for Romo Dunze to I think really make his mark as as the number one guy, especially with TJ Moore now now gone. So I'm excited. I think this Varis team is the North champion.
I wanna say that
Feel like because Green Bay has the distractions now in Detroit. They're good. They kind of fell off last year. You never know what you're gonna get with Minnesota. I I'll go with that. I'll go with that. I think the Bears, I they won a what? 11 games last year. And it's a good division. So they may have to do that again. I don't know if I can see them going over eleven wins though. And then the question becomes: is that enough? Is there gonna be one other team that does it? I think the Bears, though.
Be more I'd be higher on the Packers if you have the Josh Jacobs situation. I think I'd be higher on the Lions if Jared Goff didn't always fall on his face in the playoffs, and I'd be higher on the Vikings if Kyler Murray were taller, but I don't know. It's just he looks so small in that uniform. Uh-huh. He looks so small. Someone was talking, they they took him in fantasy, and I was like, I wouldn't touch that guy with a ten-foot pole. It just it just feels like a collapse.
It feels like an embarrassing season, just for the Vikings in general. I mean, and poor Justin Jefferson. The guy has just been so good for for his entire career and he just feels trapped, and everyone knows it. Ugh, yeah. I I I don't want nine. I don't want Kyler. they they just did not really seem to like each other, and I know they quote cleared it up in the media, but they just did not have any sort of rapport.
Not good. I don't think it's good. I think I think they are the the cellar dwellers of this this season.
And then Detroit and Green Bay. Green Bay adds Jonathan Gannon, I think was kind of the the big piece there, to the defen you know, to as a defensive coordinator. Former coaches, former head coaches, they're usually pretty solid as coordinators. there's a reason they were head coaches, there's a reason he was a head coach, because he was a very good defensive coordinator. So, I like it. Jordan Love, this is the year, right? It's year four.
This is kind of the year to decide if you're the guy or you're just gonna be a guy. and then obviously we're patiently waiting on the Josh Jacobs thing.
Not good, I guess. I I think he has a court date coming up in in a week or so. Ouch. Yeah. Ouch. And Detroit, they added Isaiah Pacheco. so it's Gibbs absolutely in the number one spot. I would assume they're gonna really lean heavy on him again. But again, don't be shocked if if like they're a high high powered offense again. but
Yeah, it's just I don't know, Detroit just feels like the 'cause they're gonna have to see the Bills, the Eagles, and the entire North. It's it's not gonna be easy for Detroit.
It's not, but I think I think Pacheco's gonna make an impact. I think he's gonna bounce back. I do. Yeah. Detroit'll be probably a ten win team, right? Yeah. I think I think they make the playoffs. I think they're the two. Or the number you know, they finish second in the north. I would say I feel like six vibes, they give like the sixth seed. They're not gonna I don't think they're
They're not as bad as like a seventh seed just to sneak in there. I th I think they're a sixth seed. That's really what they feel like to me.
Almost Dallas would be the five seed in my eyes. I don't know why. I just feel like with the offense. I feel like they can score enough in the regular season to get to the five spot. To the South, Atlanta. What a wow. Not good in Atlanta. Man, they suck. Just bad. really sad.
Sad quarterback room. You have Michael Pennox coming off of an ACL and Tua has won the starting job with Kevin Stefansky at the helm. just a a reach red. Going with a reach read for your head coach. Yeah. Fa it felt like a it just felt like a reach. It just felt like a a just a completely weird move, and I I really feel bad for criticizing Matt Ryan. I love Matt Ryan, but not good.
Yeah, I just I don't know. I I don't think the Kevin Stefanski move was anything that spectacular and I just I I don't know. Atlanta it's just a culture thing with them, I feel like. Yeah. Carolina. I mean, again, like they were what were they eight and nine or nine and eight last year?
Eight nine. Yeah, eight and nine. Nothing really special. They let New Orleans get back in it. And again, like they, you know, they came from behind against Tampa, you know, to to take over the division there. But again, I I just don't really see too much to be excited about. Like Bryce Young, we just gotta see we gotta see it here. Like this has to be the year Bryce Young establishes himself as the quarterback because you can't have any more thoughts.
Can't have any more doubts regarding Bryce Young here. So I mean the defense I'd say the defense is gonna be pretty good, right? Yeah. I'm I don't know.
and then to New Orleans. This team. You're high up New Orleans. This is a team right here. This is a team that's gonna they're gonna surprise you. They just added Travis Etienne, Jordan Tyson, and Noah Fant. And don't forget Zach Wilson as well. sitting behind Tyler Shuck. I love Tyler Shuck. I think hell, he could be he could be a dark horse to win the NFL MVP.
I think he could be a dark horse to win the NFL MVP. I'm saying it right now. I hope that I can look back at this clip in six months, be like, wow, you were just a genius. You saw right through everyone else. no, I mean, look at New Orleans, I mean, you still have you got Chris Olave there. Like, Jordan Tyson's a first round pick. You're giving him some really nice weapons. And let's not forget about Alvin Kamara. Like, don't forget about Alvin Kamara. Yeah, he's older and you know, but you're still gonna get some value out of him.
I think this is a dare I say it, I think this is a division winning ten win Saints team.
I don't know if I think they'll be that good. I think they'll be in the mix. I'll go with Tampa to win the division. But I have Carolina's a wild card. Again, I don't know why, but just do. Sorry, there were six and eleven last year. Six and eleven for the Saints. and then Tampa, who just extended Baker Mayfield, on the eve of the NFL season to a three year deal.
It's I I don't think it's gonna be good. you lose Mike Evans now. You're gonna have to rely on Chris Godwin to stay healthy and a young Omeka Abuka.
Just I'm re this is you know, the number one person that doesn't get me excited whatsoever is Todd Bowles. Why is Todd Bowles there? Why are we still doing this thing with Todd Bowles? So we know how it's gonna end, and I think it's gonna end really bad now. So I'm out on Tampa. I think they missed the playoffs. I am incredibly, incredibly down on them. for all my Florida friends who are Bucks fans, sorry to say it. This is just not.
Baker's great. I love Baker. But he's he's just gonna be stuck this year. He's got a big extension that Bucks obviously feel like he's the guy. He is. I'd I'd say he is. I think they would be idiots. I I thought they were idiots to be fighting him on it. He is he has given them every single reason to extend him. I just think it's it's the man that's heading the team. I'm not a fan.
Well he can get off to a bad start, he gets fired, and then Bagel rallies him to the playoffs. Could see that. Never know. That that I think is more I think that's more likely than than him just taking them to the playoffs than Todd Bowles. Right. all right, to the West we have the Arizona Cardinals. Trey McBride. That's what I'm excited about. Jeremiah Love looks like a Adrian Peterson. Runs standing straight up.
And then I just I love Jacoby Brissett. I'm so glad he's gonna be there again. He should just be the Cardinals quarterback. He just should be. Like for the rest of for however long he can play football, he should be the Cardinals quarterback.
Dave Gardner Minshew. is he there as well? That's a that's a great quarterback room. Yeah, I love that. Makes me think the Cardinals might win six games. There and the games they win are gonna be fun.
They win any division game. Yes. Yes, he is. I love it. Gardner and Jacoby. What a room. to the Super Bowl favorites, the Los Angeles Rams. obviously, I think the big addition everyone knows. We talked about it, Aaron Donald. they sh he should be ready for the home opener, is what they're saying. he's not going to be playing in Australia in that stupid ass Thursday night Australia game.
I think there are a lot of questions though, is I mean, is Matthew Stafford gonna be able to keep it up? Obviously, this is a very, very good team. Puka had a lot of off the field issues. Is Sean McVeigh this is gonna really rely heavily on Sean McVeigh? Is he able to keep this team from unraveling at all from these issues? Because we know how one guy can affect a locker room.
Cell A man, they can buy their problems away. I think this is a I think this is a veteran locker room. I d I really don't think that he's gonna have an issue.
I wish they were back in St. Louis. But they're really good. I mean, they were really good last year. Yeah. You know. They were a couple plays away from the Super Bowl and you gotta feel like they're they mean they're just deep on their defensive line. Obviously Stafford, that's a big question 'cause he's not not twenty four. He's what, thirty nine? This is his eighteenth year in the league, I think. So yeah, I mean that's if there's any area where you're like, could this come crumbling down for the Rams, to me it's him.
I think if he stays healthy, assuming you know Garrett stays healthy, they don't have a crazy rash of injuries, like they're as good as advertised. But if Stafford, you know, if he's beset by injuries and it it it causes him to struggle, then that changes things. Yeah. to the Niners. Well, they had Raheem Morris back. That's big. Again, former head coach going back to being a coordinator probably will be a big impact on the team.
Mike Evans, but the big I mean, they're fighting they're fighting the substation. That's the big thing. The obviously the big question with this team is just the health surrounding them. Are they gonna be healthy? Because that's been the theme of every single season they've had for how long? I I can't even remember a time where I was like, Wow, the the forty niners are really healthy this year. They've been very lucky with health.
That is like there's no other team on the planet that needs to be healthy more than the Niners because they're always hurt. They have the tal I think they have the talent to be very good. But it's of course just the health. I think they're gonna be yeah, they'll be a playoff team. I I again I mean unless it's again, unless the injury bug just wipes them out. They stay healthy enough, they're gonna win at least ten games. Yeah. and then finally we're gonna wrap it up with the defending Super Bowl champion, Seattle Seahawks.
I think we will see. I don't think we're gonna see a step back from Sam Darwin. I think we will see a Super Bowl hangover a little bit. I don't think they're gonna win the division. I don't think they're gonna be good enough to hang around with the Rams. they will go to the playoffs. I'm gonna say it will be Sam Los Angeles and Seattle again in the playoffs. I don't think San Francisco makes it again.
JSN will not keep up with what he did last year. I think that's another, that's a bold prediction. He's not going to be the dominating force that he was last year. He's still going to be very good. And if you drafted him in fantasy, be very happy because he's going to be good for you. But he's not going to be what he was last year.
Yeah, I think Seattle will be good. I think they'll make the playoffs. I don't think they'll win the division.
I just wonder how good that defense is gonna be. You know, because the last time Seattle won the Super Bowl, they went back the next year. Like they the Legion of Boom. Now they got the dark side defense. I think they're gonna be I think a lot of people think they're gonna fall off. I think they're gonna be just fine and they're gonna go toe to toe with the Rams all year. Are we gonna see Are we gonna see a n a rematch of the NFC title game? If the seating works out, yes.
You know, if if like one of 'em's the I guess well no, I g yeah, what am I saying? I guess if they're both wild cards well, 'cause you could have a situation where they play in the divisional round. You know what mean? Yeah. You could you know, so the seeding would have to work out. Because last year the Rams were the five. I know Seattle was the one. I'm gonna look up the bracket right now, just so we can I think I think you had the a road team win. Yes.
It was the five San Francisco on the road in San Francisco was the six. I don't even remember who the s shoot, I don't know. The seven seed. Was that the Lion no Lions didn't make it. Green Bay Philly. Green Bay and who did they play? Philly. Packers played the Bears. the Bears won that one thirty one twenty seven. Crazy. Mm hmm. And then Niners beat the Eagles. Yeah.
Yeah. Right, on the road, yeah. Remember that. Yep. and then the Continue. Yeah. Well I was to say I think so. If the seeding works out, yes. But it'll be at the Rams this year. At the Rams. Which will be a home game for Seattle anyway, so it doesn't matter. Yeah. Yeah. Every game in that stadium is a home game for the away team. if if they get to the championship game, they should the NFL should mandate that it's played in the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis. If
I just I I hear everyone say, the stadium is amazing. It's such an amazing stadium. Not. My uncle goes there and he just continues
overrated, it's nothing special. They don't have they're not good with for for people with disabilities. the food isn't good. It's a it's a you're right. You said it best. It's the Apple store. If there's if it's so good, why does nobody show up? If it's such an enjoyable experience to go, why does no one show up? They're at the beach. They're they're they're watching movies get filmed. I have no idea. LA was far from my favorite place. But yeah, but
Unfortunately, the Rams have a good team. So a lot of football. Well, give me the give me your Super Bowl prediction right now. Who's playing? On Valentine's Day, by the way. Everyone mark that on your calendars. Valentine's Day. Prepare for a lot of breakups after this. I guess I already said the Ravens weren't gonna make it. I I I wanna still pick them. I still wanna say Rams over Ravens. Because I was saying, like, they'll win a playoff game, maybe they'll get to the championship game.
I think it would be so buffalo to get to another Super Bowl and lose. So I'll say
I'll Rams over Bills.
You kind of took my pick there, man. I I really like the Bills. One of us just say Ravens, Rams over Ravens, so that one of us can have. Because that's who I was gonna pick, but I'm like, no, I already said that they were, you know, win a playoff game or get to the championship game. But then I was like, well, shouldn't I have just said they would get to the Super Bowl? You know, I think
I'm gonna hate this and I really despise it. I'm gonna do this. I I'm gonna do the I'm gonna do the Denver Broncos. That's yeah I'm gonna I'm gonna take the Broncos and I hate it. I just can't stand that I have to do that. But for some reason they're talking to me. The Broncos are talking to me. And yeah, the Rams. I mean the Broncos and Rams. I I think we're gonna see that one. Is that a rematch? That's not a rematch, right? No. No, we we need a non rematch. We haven't had one.
the first Chiefs Eagles, but then we got because they rematched. So really Bengals Rams. It's the last time we've had a matchup that's only ever happened once now in Super Bowl history. Yeah. So hopefully we get Broncos Rams. That'll be pretty sick. all righty, well that's a good spot to move on to the next segment. All right. Welcome to the Maryland spotlight. we are here. This is the week that every Ravens fan has been waiting for pretty much all year 'cause the Orioles are
Really not anything to be too excited about this year. but yeah, it's football season. My Colts will be taking on the Ravens or be hosting the Ravens week one. big we did have some big news come out. r somewhere recently. it's been, I don't know, it's been a couple weeks now. Danny Pinter, former Colt, is out for the year. he was gonna be the starting center in the post Tyler Linderbaum.
era in Baltimore, which was, you know, he was a staple for the offensive line for the Ravens for for a little while. so who did I see was taken over at that spot?
Maybe I didn't write it down. Mike, who was taking over at the center spot?
Is it Gwynn, got Gwynn, Javon Gwynne, and Poca Pochich? So he hasn't Yeah, Gwynn. Yeah Javon Gwyn. And it's gonna be he's a he's a twenty twenty-three seventh round pick by the Falcons. Yeah, it doesn't feel like it doesn't feel like a great
I guess omen for the off season, right? You lose the anchor of the offensive line and but I guess what's the temperature going into week one? Obviously I think everyone is hopeful for their team no matter what, 'cause you're like, this could be the year, right? It always can be. It's a clean slate. but and well, you guys are also really have a clean slate. You have a brand new head coach, pretty much a brand new coaching staff.
A lot of clean thing. You know, it's very clean. It's gonna be new. It might be a little clunky to start. it it could definitely be very clunky, but I think it's an exciting time for for the Ravens. I think a lot of Baltimore fans are excited and when you have Lamar, you're never really out of it. There there's there's always a chance that that you can do something exciting that year. So what's the temperature on on your end? I think it's good. I think there's excitement. I think anytime you have a new coach, I mean
The Ravens, the the last time that they rolled the dice on a first time head coach, you know, Fla Flacco and Harbaugh, that was the tandem, and they went from five and eleven to the AFC championship game. And I think the hope is, you know, and that was a team that didn't quite have that talent in place. You know, they were coming off a really bad year. And now with Jesse Minter in, you know, in the fold, I think we'll find out a lot about.
maybe if the players felt like Harbaugh was holding them back. Like they're not going to say it, but how they play and how they start the season for their coach might tell us a lot about what the vibe was like with Harbaugh. I think keeping the receivers healthy, man, you know, Lamar's got a you know, his his go-to guy over the years has really been Mark Andrews. You know, he's had Zay Flowers at times, but it's never felt like he's had, you know, a lot of times you think about Mahomes and Kelsey, right?
Like or or Mahomes and Tyreek Hill, whatever the case. You know, Manning had Harrison. Well, Brady, I guess, had Moss at one point. Like every quarterback kind of needs that security blanket. And I'd love to see Lamar find his. You know, I'd love to see more production out of the receivers. but I think the temperature's good. I think.
I just look at the rest of the division. You know, Cleveland is Cleveland. Pittsburgh, please. I mean, you'll probably get eight wins, nine wins for no well, like nine wins for no reason. and the Bengals are, you know, good, but a lot of it will rest on Burrow and how he bounces back. So Hope Springs eternal. I I I guess. I I think it's I think I feel pretty good. I mean, I think
I think the AFC is down a little bit, you know? Like in years past, it was like, my God, we can't beat the Chiefs. Or even, my God, the Bills are really, really good. But it feels like it doesn't feel like there's any team that's got a stranglehold on this thing. At least not on paper. Yeah, obviously the big signing being Trey Hendrickson coming into Baltimore and and I think you're gonna see, and I think a lot of I mean just
logically you're gonna see a uptick in in pressure from the the Baltimore defense that really did struggle last year. But again, like how how much can we really put on last year and like just just what how much are you gonna use that
to read into this year, I guess, because it was a very it was a hurt Lamar. It just felt like one of those like tough years that usually every team, every good team goes through where just nothing goes right. I I really don't think you can use that too much to look at this year and and make any sort of logical prediction on what the Ravens are gonna do. but I think Hendrickson is the kind of
The shot in the arm, I think that the defense definitely needed, to state the obvious. and then again, you're gonna have a new scheme and you're having new schemes put everywhere. and I think that's I think for a team that it didn't seem like John Harbaugh loved Baltimore all that much. we we talked about that on Sunday night a little bit when when you were over. Harbaugh just didn't feel like a Baltimore guy. He felt like he was kinda like I coach at the stadium.
And you know, I I'm at the practice facility and like that's it. is there a little bit better of a feeling w with the new guy? I mean, it does he seem to embrace the the city or maybe the culture a little bit more and maybe that help helps the players actually want to play a little more for him? I think so. I think he's a smart guy, you know, younger coach now. I mean, you go from Harbaugh's, you know, in his
He's in his sixties now, which is kinda crazy to think about, right? 'Cause when he started, he was about mint Minter's age, which Minter's forty three. So I I think
that he's kind of a I don't want to say a no nonsense guy. Like he's not, my God, he's so tough or he's not gr like we don't the Tom Coughlins and Bill Parcells of the world, they don't really seem to exist anymore, right? It's just a lot of these young masterminds. But I like that they went with a defensive minded head coach. You know, Harbaugh was a special teams guy. He was a he he was Andy Reid's special teams coach in Philly. And when Brian Billock ironically was brought in as an offensive guy, he ends up coaching
one of the greatest defenses of all time. So I don't know that that necessarily matters, but I think it's I think it's helpful. And yeah, I think Minter, you know, look, he's he's been a hardworking guy. He's he's rise risen up the ranks pretty quickly. He has a Harbaugh connection too. I don't know if people will like that or not, right? Like, but not John Harbaugh. The Jim Harbaugh connection. So right? Working in his staff, but which Jim Harbaugh
former Raven as well, correct? Right. Quarterback in in nineteen ninety eight. So yeah. Yeah. I think the the one kind of the question, because there's been this debate in the league now for a long time, around like what type of head coach do you hire? Do you hire the offensive guy? Do you hire the defensive guy? Do you hire a guy who kinda goes right down the middle? And it's seemingly like lately the this successful teams
With the big name quarterbacks, and I'm really thinking of the Bears right now, going with an offensive-minded head coach because they know they're not gonna leave. Now, they just you know, the Ravens added Declan Doyle, who was the youngest offensive coordinator in the league at the time with the Bears, he was twenty-eight in twenty twenty-five. Is there I mean, if if the Ravens are really, really good and we see them make a run to the AFC title game, one
Is that enough to satisfy you guys? A run to the AFC title game? And two, are you almost hurting yourself? Because it's almost guaranteed that your your offensive coordinator, who most likely engineered a very good offense, is gonna leave again and Lamar is gonna be needing another offensive coordinator.
think you're I don't I don't think you could think that far ahead. I mean
think it's just it it starts with the relationship that the quarterback has with his coach. I don't think I don't know if you looked at history if you'd said, you know, do the great quarterbacks did were their head coaches
offensive minded or defensive minded and does it matter? I mean, sometimes, right? Because a great offensive mind of a coach can make a quarterback better. But you know, Brady and Belichick, great, you know, one of the maybe the best tandem of all time. Bill was not an offensive guy. You know, it was really about the coach finding the coach is to utilize his skill set best.
So yeah, I don't know. I mean I don't I've and I've never thought of Lamar Jackson as like a a difficult guy. I think I I really think he's you know, he does put his head down, go to work. He's he wants to win. He wants to be successful. He's he's not you know, you never hear him throwing anyone under the bus or throwing fits. I mean, he he shows emotion, but I think he's a he's he wants to learn, he wants to get better.
So this will be the fourth offensive coordinator in Lamar Jackson's career. Which obviously again we're talking about the core you know, Lamar Jackson, we're talking a lot about him, obviously. Where the Ravens go, we saw it last year, Lamar. Or where Lamar goes, the Ravens go.
is there gonna be any sort of weird feelings surrounding like the Max Crosby thing? Do we did did getting Trey Hendrickson just solve that completely? Is there gonna be any questions about it? I mean, what's the nothing? I think it's fine. Yeah. What's the game you're looking most forward to this year? on the just you mean the any regular season game? For for the Ravens. For the Ravens.
Yeah, I mean not the Brazil game, I'll tell you that. I don't even think of that as a real game. you know, the the early schedule's not too tough, right? They Colts, the Saints, and after Dallas, it's Tennessee and Atlanta and Cleveland and I I'm I'm excited for the for the Bengals game, which will be the first meeting, but really I I think that Buffalo game. The Ravens have just not
You know, that the Bills have gotten him twice in the playoffs. It's interestingly a one o'clock Sunday game. You would think Lamar and Josh Allen that that would be at least a four o'clock game. But that when do they have It's week eight, November first. So I think that'll be a good you know, you'll have you start to get a sense of teams right around that point in the season, what the their real identity is. And, you know, we if you were
to throw a guess out there, both teams will be at or close to the top of their division, we think, assuming the quarterbacks are healthy. But I think, you know, having like a mid season litmus test game,
Is is great. I think it'll tell you a lot about both teams. I mean, think about right, like New England Indy when they had their Super Bowl forty one and a half, week nine, boom, right in the middle of the season. You know, you have this big marquee type game, and that was the day the Patriots said, Yeah, we're probably going undefeated because we just took out the top the toughest team we have to face. And maybe for the Ravens, they go into this game, not saying they're gonna be undefeated, but they'll go into this game thinking like You go into this game with two losses, maybe three.
This is your this is a big one for you. Yeah, but I mean the the schedule overall is pretty favorable. I mean, the NFC and AFC South divisions, that helps, right? And and Do not overlook the Saints. Do not overlook the Saints. I'm just telling ya. It's a preview. Don't overlook the Saints. They get in week two at home, maybe better than when they get, you know, ahead of steam in like week fourteen. But
Yeah, I mean they you know, they have the Chargers. yeah, but again, that's not a game you're like, my god, well it's gonna be right. It's not they don't have the Rams or Seattle,
They don't have Detroit or Chicago or Green Bay. Like, you know, we know what the division is. Now they have four, you know, their their last four games are division games. I mean, scheduled the 2026 version of these schedules joke. But that's how they have it. They have four, they have the Steelers in week 15, then Browns, Bengals, Steelers again. they get a week 13 bye, which is I I still I can't.
Still can't wrap my head around buys being that late in the season, but yeah, I think that Bills game, to me, like just looking at the schedule, that's the one that stands out the most. I think that you know, that two-game stretch, they'll have Cincy and Buffalo back to back. You know, they'll get you you'll kind of see where the defense is at, number one, you know, Burrow and Allen. That's two of the best quarterbacks in in the NFL. And then
You know, you'll see where Lamar is at, right? He'll be you know, however he does in those games, he'll be kind of like compared to those quarterbacks. You know, will he outdoel Josh Allen? Will he outdoel Joe Burrow? so that's the game to me that stands out the most is that Buffalo game in week eight. What is a successful year for the Baltimore Ravens?
Oof.
Well, win the division. Take back the North, right? that was that was there for the take and it was on the the foot of Tyler Loop, but really on the on the brain of John Harbaugh that went numb there last year. I think double digit wins and a playoff win. At least one, you know. I think getting to the AFC Championship would be you know, of course every team wants to say, Well, winning the Super Bowl, but I think for the Ravens
I think given where they were, given that they have a new coach, given that the expectations are still high, I think they at least need to come out of the season feeling like not only do they have a good season, win a lot of games, win in the postseason, but that they're going in the right direction. You know? And I think even if they even if Lamar Jackson loses in the playoffs,
I think if he plays really well in those games, I think people will look because I remember, you know, with with Flacco, just as an example, and it's hard to compare, different types of quarterbacks, different eras, the 2011 AFC Championship game, I remember thinking like it was the most gut-wrenching game I think I've ever watched, right? The Cundiff miss field goal, the Evans dropped the pass before that and all that. But I remember thinking
They didn't lose this game because of Joe Flacco. Like he made the perfect throw that should have won the AFC Championship game. So I think like going into twenty twelve when they won, the feeling was, yeah, you could always say, well, was that as far as they're gonna get? But it was like
I don't know. Flacco did his part. And you felt like, okay, we have the guy. So for Lamar Jackson, we really haven't seen a lot of that in January. So I think a successful season would just be him playing well in the postseason, even if he doesn't win. Because I think people just want to know that unequivocally he is the guy. He is a great quarterback that people are mostly saying that he is.
But you gotta get there first, right? Gotta wait you gotta you can't play January football if you don't win enough games. So yeah. And what is your prediction? Record prediction and playoff prediction if they're they even get there. I wanna be super optimistic. I think the schedule gives me a little more optimism. I wanna say I'm gonna say they get to 11 wins.
It's easier to say now because it's 11 and 6. If it was 11 and 5, I might be like 10 and 6. I'm going to say they get 11 wins. Again, with the caveat being that Jackson has to stay healthy or mostly healthy. Like, could they win a game? Tyler Huntley comes in. Sure. They've had to do that before. I think they'll win a postseason game. I d I I'm going to say they get to the divisional round. I hope I'm wrong. I hope they get a hell of a lot farther, but
I I th I it's kind of where I see it. you know what I'll I'll say the AFC championship. Let me let me let me give it a little more. Prediction. Wow, breaking news. The Ravens are going to the AFC title game. Maybe they'd be better suited to to do it on the road. You know, we know like when the Ravens have you know, the championship games they've won in their history, they were both on the road.
Maybe that's maybe that's the way to do it. Don't get that home game like they did in twenty three against the Chiefs and all the pressure and they're favored and they're getting Mark Andrews back and Mahomes is playing her or whatever whatever it was that year, where the Chiefs weren't that good and blah blah blah. Maybe the Ravens would be better suited to be like eight and six, win their last three games, get in, and kind of sneak up on people. Alrighty. Kind of like twenty twelve. Well, sort of like twenty twelve. A little bit. A little bit.
Yeah. Alright, well we're gonna move in to the next topic.
Alright. Welcome back to the show that is not inspired by PTI. excuse your opinion. Came up with it in 2016, right around the time Harambe died. I have an opinion. We were out, we were at where were we? What restaurant were we at when we came up with the idea for the show? we were at the my god, the ESPN zone. I remember, yeah. And we were like it'd be a good it'd be a good idea to share our opinions.
Yeah, we were at the ESPN zone, all the TVs were off, not a single not a single ESPN show was on T V. And we were like, We should do a show where we share our outrageous opinions. Yeah. On the show. I have an opinion.
I think, and this more pertains to college football because you're not getting too many twenty point favorites in the NFL. If your team is over a twenty point favorite, twenty or over, and you win the game, I don't care how you win the game, you should not be allowed to storm the field.
No matter what. I don't care. Michigan stormed the field after beating Central Michigan. or I'm sorry, not Central Michigan, Western Michigan, this past weekend in a thriller where Bryce Underwood played like shit. and then the refs had a secret clock that did not match up to the regular game clock on the screen. and the the Michigan fans just like rushed the field because they like, Yay, we won on a
Lucky bullshit. yeah, I don't think you I don't care how you win that game. they played horribly. Bryce Underwood was acting like he had just done something crazy, which like one lucky play in a horrible game. Just you you you're not rushing the field. Rushing the field is reserved for winning a championship. Maybe you win a a big bowl game, like you win a semifinal game, like a college football player. A play like that. Kick six, that's massive upset.
But also that wasn't a 20 point they weren't 20 point favorites in that game. Like, if you're 20 point favorites, you should win the ballgame. Like, no matter what, you should win the game. There's like no way if you lose a twin if you lose as a twenty point favorite, usually they're like your coach should be fired. Even if you win that coach should be fired. Huh? If you storm the court at a Kansas basketball game, they will ban you from the stadium. You are not allowed to rush the court.
I like I like Because it shows that you didn't expect to win. I no, I like court storming normally and field storming. I like it normally, but when you are that heavy of a favorite in a football game, there's no reason for you to ever storm the court in that like you're beating you're beating a Mac team, Michigan University, who who won the national championship like three years ago.
Is storming the court over beating a Mac football team. Okay. But if you storm the field size court, does that not tell everyone that you are celebrating a win because you'd expect to win? Like you don't get that excited for a win in the regular season unless you really thought like we're gonna get fucking clobbered today. And you win, so you celebrate. No. If you win the national championship, they storm the field. That's different. That's different.
Because nobody is truly a like a heavy favorite in that. But if in the middle of the year I've seen it in basketball where like the number twenty team beats the number sixteen team and they storm the court, like you should expect to win that game at home. Act like you've been there before. So so if if FIU go and hosts Alabama, if F. I. you hosts Alabama and they beat Alabama, they should not be allowed
to storm the field. Did anybody expect FIU to beat Alabama? Let's say they were twenty point underdogs. No, then you storm the field. That's but I'm saying if you are a like a solidified, good program in any sport, every single time you play at home, you should go into it planning to win the game. What about the kick six game? That well, Alabama Auburn, that's a that's like a a historic moment.
That's a moment that college is a established football program. Yeah. But they were probably fa they were probably expected to lose to Alabama. And it was like the most miraculous finish we've seen in maybe ever. Like that's the one of the exceptions. There's a handful of exceptions, that's one of them. But no, if you're if you are like a a football school, you should never be storming the field. That's where the football is played.
Not where you celebrate. They there's bars all over Front Row. Go down there and celebrate. Storm the parking lot. Storm Main Street. Don't go running around the field because then you kind of look like a you're new to winning.
Auburn was that was the year they lost the national championship to to Jameis. Yeah. That was a very they won the SEC. They killed Missouri fifty nine forty two. Well not killed, but they beat them handily. slave owners.
That's what KU fans call them. The slaves. my god. That's crazy. Do you not under you know where the Jayhawks got their name? Listen. From the U.S. I don't know what goes on in that part of the country. It doesn't really matter to me. Missouri was a slave state. Well, I'm aware of that. But that's like pretty much I know Missouri has no well, that's Kand I know Missouri has the better Kansas City. Yes. Than Kansas. Kansas doesn't even have their the better part of Kansas City. Yeah, well
They Kansas side has the the racetrack. That's it.
Like the NASCAR track. That's all we have. Everything else is on the other side. How do you let that happen?
I don't know. Slave owners.
Anyways, that's my take. If you are a favorite by over 20 points, you are not allowed to rush the field in a college football game. In especially in a regular season college football game. In in a game in the the first game of the year in week one, and you rush the field. Now, if Western Michigan won that game, that would have been their first win over a top twenty five team ever, I believe. so I would have been fully fine with them rushing the field.
in that game. Yeah. Right? They they meet the criteria. Yes, because they're like a small, unestablished program. They meet the criteria. Absolutely. They play Mac. Congratulations. This is your big win for like your whole time those people are in college. That's gonna be their only big win. Go ahead. Yes. Yes. Which Maction starting soon, that means we'll have football on almost actually every single day of the week between college and NFL.
'Ca the Mac plays on Tuesdays. That's ridiculous. Maction plays on Tuesday. It's a ridiculous thing to do. It's ridiculous It's 'cause it's the Mac. It's the Mac. In the middle of the school week. It's Maction. Yeah. I have a nap. It's Maction. Sure. It's Maction. I don't even know. I don't know who's in the Mac. Don't hate. who's in the Mac? Who's like
Tulane, I think. I know it's like western Michigan. North Texas and
whole looking up the Mac. So not Mac Apple. No one cares about Mac Apple.
Mac football. All right. Just so we can get a a full a full slate of Maction here. The Maction? Where's my teams? Standings. Football. Here we go. We got Eastern Michigan. Eastern and Western Michigan. Let's go. Buffalo. Massachusetts. Yes. Sacramento State. UMass. Sacramento State. I believe that is UMass. Which there is a guy on TikTok who is
Great. As he is he is the biggest diehard UMass fan of all time. He is at every single UMass game. And if like he is a absolute diehard screaming his head off all game at a UMass game. Like imagine how bad that is. Also UMass just beat Rutgers thirty-seven twenty-one. Rutgers also paid UMass to go into Rutgers. They paid him like five million dollars or something.
so pretty sick. Sacramento State. Akron. Which Akron had a if you bought season tickets for them, you were allowed to they would do a raffle, and the winner of the raffle could call the first drive of a game. That's ridiculous. And season tickets were like 70 bucks. which is absolutely sick. I love that. Just getting eyes on Maxion is amazing. Just fullback dive up the middle.
Every play. I'm calling it I'm calling I'm running it twice and then a Hail Mary. I never saw it coming. A I AI ass AIS play calling. ball state, bowling green. We got eastern and western Michigan. Guess what else is in guess what else is in Northern Michigan? We got central Michigan. Central Michigan. Central Michigan. Kent West Michigan.
Miami of Ohio. Mm-hmm. Ohio.
And Toledo. I'm sure it's absolutely gripping football. It's gripping. Maction is gripping because they're all so bad. Yeah. So they all just cannibalize each other. It's amazing. Yeah, and unless you're like somebody in the college football twenty six and you build up a Mac team. Yeah. Can I get my take? Yes. International games are the worst thing of all time. I hate them.
I hate them. Imagine if you are a season ticket holder for like the 49ers or Rams, and they announce that one of the games you effectively paid for is going to be played in Melbourne, Australia. What is the I do believe they give you a discount. I think they take the price off. But it still kind of it still sucks. Like would you rather get you're you're paying a ton of money anyway. If you're paying that money, it's because you want to see all the games.
If like, hey, we're taking the best game away against our heated rival and moving it to Australia. It'd be like if I was a chief season ticket holder and they took our Broncos game away. I would lose my mind. I wouldn't want to buy the season tickets if they're taking away the rivalry game from you. That's ridiculous. Yeah, I think I think divisional games should be off limits. Mm-hmm. I think
Send the shit up. I mean, they have to understand rivalries and they have to be like, all right. You could because like obviously I'm frustrated because the Colts are going over to London or wherever the fuck to play the commanders. And they were supposed to come to Landover Maryland, which is like 30 minutes away from me. 30, 40 minutes away. I get it though. I understand that it is Colts Commanders. Like, that's not exactly a marquee matchup. But you have.
You have the Rams and the Forty Niners a NFC West rivalry with I mean, the Rams are the runaway favorites right now for the Super Bowl, and the Forty Niners always give them smoke. Why would you put that in Melbourne? Melbourne. Melbourne. That's what they call it. Melbourne. Melbourne. They have I mean, we have okay, Eagles, Jags, obviously they sent it to the that one sucks. Pats, Lions is a good game. Patriots Lions Lions a good game.
Rio de Janeiro, Ravens, Cowboys. That's a good game. Yeah, you can't send the Cowboys over. I mean, I guess you can because they are the Cowboys, like they are the most internationally recognized football team, because everyone knows the Cowboys because it's like an American staple. I guess I get that, but that's a that's a good game. That's a high powered Cowboys offense. And the Ravens, who are a people AFC title contender right now.
Do you think the people in Melbourne are going to the game because it's a great game and it's like a good matchup, or because it's an NFL game? let's go to the NFL game. I think it's because it's an NFL game and they're like, cool. You know, like we'll we'll go, we'll check it out, we'll see. I understand what Roger Goodell is doing. He's like trying to grow the game of football. don't take away from the existing fandom. Fay don't the international fans don't care enough. If
Fans in Europe cared, then NFL Europe would have been a big success. They've tried to start football in Europe before and it's never stuck because they care one week a year when the when the NFL game comes to them. That's the only week they care. Well well if they are, let's say they I do believe that there is growing interest in the NFL. And I'm fine with one to two international games a year. I think that's fine. One to two.
Do a London game because London seems to be the standard. And then do another game on another continent. That would be awesome. Seeing another game on another continent. Having eight international games is too much. Goodell talking about putting a team over there is way too much. You're taking a team in London, there's gonna be a team in Toronto, there's gonna be a team in Mexico City. Yeah. And it's it goes it all goes back to breaking news, Delta Flight plunges.
twenty seven thousand feet after deep or pressurization issue. That would be terrifying. That's pretty crazy to passenger planes too often. I think it I think it survived. yeah. but anyways completely that was our third take. That was our Caleb take. planes shouldn't crash. It shouldn't. They should stay in the air.
I've been saying that for years. They should stay in the air until it's time to land. That's true. They should they should work on staying in the air. That's very important. Yeah. but Roger Goodell just got a massive contract extension. He's gonna get paid like sixty-five million dollars a year for his next extension. And I think he's retiring. He's done a very good job. I I will give way to this that Roger Goodell has done a very good job as the commissioner of the NFL.
His job is to make the NFL money. It is to make the NFL incredibly popular, which that's what it is. It's very popular. What he's done though, it feels like oversaturation. Like we are having like football was great because we had like football is great because there's 16 games a year. Now there's 17. That one extra week, everyone can already feel it. Football is great because we had it was like Sunday, and then you got a Thursday game. You didn't even get a Thursday game every week.
And you get the Monday night game, which was like the marquee game, and that was it. Like you didn't even have Thursday night football every single week. And now we have football on Saturday. Now we're having December. Now we have Christmas Eve and day football. We have the Wednesday before Thanksgiving football. We have Thanksgiving football. We have Black Friday football. Guess what? They also that's when they start taking over Saturdays.
We have Saturday football. We have Sunday football, which only has like six games and the slate sucks. So they intentionally are trying to pull from college football, which sucks. Let football fans watch college football on Saturday. Let's see what's when it matters. So there there are actual restrictions when it comes to that. There's my god, what is the word what is the the anti monopoly word that I'm thinking of?
Antitrust. Yeah, there's there's antitrust laws in place that were set like in the sixties or seventies that basically says the NFL has to play on Sundays until the college football regular season is over. They can do it during the playoff, but they can do it during Yeah, but it's whatever. Well also, also, also, that's when you know college football expanded into a twelve team playoff. They went too much there, too. It's too much. It's way too much.
They should have gone to an 18 playoff. I don't know why they went to a 12. I just don't like the 12. It's you haven't done it for long enough to earn that. I mean, I I think the 14 team NFL playoff is too much. I actually don't, I'm getting out on the seven seed. Just because it's too much. You're you have close to half the league making the playoffs. It doesn't make it that special anymore. But whatever. Those are my old man takes. Yeah. On it.
Okay. But I agree. I think it's too the the pleasure of football when I was younger was like when I'm in high school, you wake up on Sunday, you dork around for a little while and at one o'clock you put football on and you watch it all day and then you go back you go back to work or school the next day. And then once or twice a year you would have the Sunday morning game. Yeah. Wake up Thursday, yeah. Have breakfast, throw the game on. You know, hopefully it's not your team, so you can again you can kinda dick around and do nothing.
You know, wake up, have a coffee, like have the game on your phone, your girl yelling at you, like, turn that game off. Now it's like all the time. I I don't need it all. How do you get excited for football throughout the week if it's Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday? Yes. It's baseball now at that point. It's background noise. I'm not devoting five nights a week to watching football. It's supposed to be one or two nights a week. I absolutely are.
Three hours during the Chiefs game, once a week. I devote how many hours a week do I devote to football? I devote all of Sunday from one till midnight. It's football. Completely football. I'm getting the three flying around my office. I'm doing the three TV setup this year. I'm g I'm buying two more off Facebook Marketplace and then splitting I'm buying an HDMI splitter to split the Roku stick onto three TVs.
So we're doing like on it. There you go. yeah, we're we're gonna have a crazy setup this year. Well, I'm ha I'm happy for you. I have my four-way split screen on the on MLB network. That's all I need. Good for you. All right. I think that's a good place to move on to the next segment. All right.
All right. top top ravens of all time. Snake draft. because John like just sent in three votes on his phone. He's rigging the draft. I actually get to finish in last this week, so I get to pick where I draft. one or three.
I'll take the I'll take the one. I'll take the one. That's fine. bad choice. Two in the right spot here. I I know who I want. I'm gonna take the one. What do you guys John was second.
So I get to pick second. I want the two. I want well as long as you pass on Ray Rice, then then my draft my draft plan is intact. no. All right, Caleb's third. Okay, with the one pick. This one's a little controversial too. Not quite as controversial as the running back you just talked about. I'm going with Ray Lewis. Yeah, he'll I mean one of the great linebackers of all time. There's really not much explaining.
he is Mr. Raven, two Super Bowls, lifelong Raven. He has the the famous, you know, walk out, dance, whatever. I don't know. But I think he's like one of the only people that makes that look cool. 'Cause if really anyone else does that, it looks like you look like a dork. But because it's Ray Lewis and he is gonna like kill you over the middle, he can do that. Literally, literally. but yeah, I'm going Ray Lewis. one one.
I gotta write this shit down. It's important. Alright, I'm just gonna counter that with Ed Reed. Again, like one, two, very simple. Yeah. Too too easy there. And then Caleb's gonna take Trell Suggs. not yet. Don't spoil picks. What are you doing? Don't spoil picks. I'm getting in his head. I'm making him question his picks. Like if the obvious pick is Trell Suggs, and he's gonna ruin my baby pick.
Last week you were like Babe Ruth, take Babe Ruth, like just shut up. It was obvious. Who cares? Don't spoil someone's pick. This isn't obvious because I'm not going to run. Let me play my game. Let me play my game. God fuck. One one. One one. Football reference isn't loading for me.
Carter Jensen is tied to I am not gonna go I'm not gonna go Terrell Suggs with a three. I'm gonna take my quarterback. I will take a two time MVP. I'll take Lamar Jackson.
Okay. Call it a hot take. How many Ravens with two time MVPs? Are there any other Ravens with MVPs? No, but there's other Ravens with Super Bowls. There's one that I'm really thinking about here. Alright, well I needed my two bowls. Lamar like famously has not gotten it done in the big moments. There's plenty of quarterbacks that haven't.
This isn't like this is a deep stack class of of players. I mean, I'll take a two time MVP with my third overall pick, sure. but then fourth, I'll go Terrell Suggs. I mean seven time Pro Bowl. I believe he was a defense player of the year. Yeah, twenty eleven defense player of the year, two time Super Bowl champion. I'll go Terrell Suggs. Did he win one with the Chiefs too? he might have. That's probably where I'm seeing that. Yeah. yeah.
Yeah, he did. I forgot he was in chief. Mm-hmm. I mean that that was at the very end, right? Like Yeah, the twenty nineteen Super Bowl, he was on our team. I'm gonna go He was also on the Cardinals that year. Yeah. I would like another Hall of Famer. Give me Jonathan Ogden. Fuck. I'm gonna protect my quarterback when I take Trent Dilfer.
I'm fine with you spoiling Trent Dilfer. because I'm Because you're gonna take Joe Flacco. Of course I'm gonna take Joe fucking ass. You're ruining the clips. I'm taking Joe Flacco. It's Joe Flacco. I mean, Stavi said it best. Like there there's just something about Flacco. Like he is he, you know, wins in twenty twelve. He's been he was there for forever. He's still there. He's still playing.
I mean he wasn't he wasn't an VP whatsoever, but he was stable. Like he was just he was your perfect like game manager, and I say that in a positive way, not like a bad way when people say someone's a game manager. Like he managed the football game very well. yeah, how how can you not go Joe Flacco? I think he is the most beloved Raven. Like overall, when you ask like people in Baltimore who's your favorite Raven, I think Flacco.
leads the pack there easily.
Alright, well now I gotta think for a second here. Do I wanna go
Take someone controversial. No, I'm not taking someone. Pick way right. Not taking someone controversial whatsoever. Come on, guys. I'm gonna go yeah, I'm gonna go with a less sexy pick here. Because there was a there was actually a controversial guy that I kind of Marshall Yanda. Yeah. It's fucking What is wrong with you guys? Stop spoiling picks. Marshall Yonder. Two time all pro
Super Bowl champ. I mean 177 games played. just again, like one of the anchors of the offensive line for the Ravens. it's obviously Marshall, Marshall Yonda here. just spoiling my fucking picks. Go ahead and take fucking the quarterback, the other quarterback that no one even remembers. Everyone's like, who was the quarterback on that other Ravens team? He is like he's notably just the like
One of the guys who's like, yeah, he was just there. He was just a quarterback. He was just a a body that they had to have. Trent Dilfer? Yeah, because the defense was so good. Why would I take Trent Dilfer? That's such a weird thing to say. Dude, why would you guess that? I'm gonna take Jamal Lewis. Ravens all time rushing leader. And he's running behind Jonathan Ogden. So I'm I'm sad. I don't need a quarterback. I don't think I need any a quarterback.
I'm gonna hand the ball off to Jamal Lewis every time. Caleb, Do you want me to guess your pick? No, do not. No, do not don't guess the pick. Caleb, you me to guess your pick? I mean I've got two here. Can we can we confirm that that John's guy actually played for the Ravens considering last week's last week's bullshit that he pulled? Was it was he a commander? Pete Sampras.
I'm gonna go ahead here. I'm gonna go ahead and take Tom Brady here, in my greatest Ravens draft. And then I'm gonna post an AI picture of Tom Brady celebrating a Super Bowl with a Ravens jersey on.
Okay, my God. Yeah. You're up. All right. We're gonna make me take two bad people, I think. no, don't do it. We're gonna take Justin T in the next week. He's gonna take Justin Tucker. I'm taking the greatest kicker of all time. Stop it. I'm taking the greatest kicker of all time. I'm taking Man, I wanted I I did want him. I really wanted him. Justin Tucker, the Ravens were never out of a game. Like if you're if you're down three points or less
Even with like ten seconds left, you're like, but Justin Tucker, like just get us like twenty yards. Justin Tucker, you never know. That's like the ultimate cheat code is having a really reliable kicker from from deep.
Yeah, Tucker was stud probably a bad guy, but he not probably. He's like definitely a bad guy. It's not like up to opinion. Not a matter of opinion. I don't know enough about the the story of him. I just know he was on some Deshaun Watson shit. Yeah. so I'll stick with a team of bad people. god. I'll do it. I'll I'll bite the bullet. I'll take Ray Rice. God.
Three time pro bowler, two time all pro Super Bowl champion. Just stay away from him in hotels and tall buildings. Confined spaces of any kind. Yeah. my god. Alright, I'm gonna take
No, I'm gonna I'm gonna try to appeal to the Ravens fans, maybe the older Ravens fans. I'm gonna take Derek Alexander, who was their best receiver in their first two seasons, their inaugural season and the second season, sixty plus receptions, a thousand plus receiving yards. lock it in, Derek Alexander.
All right.
All right, I'm gonna go with never mind. Derek Alexander go ahead, no, go ahead. Never mind, no, I th I I typed in the name and a defensive end came up, but yeah, I see the real Derek Alexander now.
Alright, I'm gonna take
Yeah, I'm gonna take another defensive player. I'm gonna take another tackle. I'm gonna take Helody Nagata. I was gonna say looking at the stats here. Five interceptions as a defensive tackle in your career. That's pretty sick. That's like that's just like cool. Like the big big boy interceptions are awesome. That's one of the great football things. was he on
That yes, he was on that twenty twelve super Super Bowl team. two time all pro in twenty ten and twenty eleven. I again I hate like mentioning the Pro Bowl now. I don't even like saying like this guy was a pro bowler and this, this and this, it just doesn't really feel like it means anything. But When they have five of them though, I feel like that's that kind of means accomplishment. May I guess back then, yeah. And he was a pro bowler.
From nine to thirteen. Every single year. nine to thirteen he was a pro bowler. So but still it's just you know, it's just a part of them ruining the Pro Bowl. and Baltimore Ring of Honor as well. He is a ring of honor for the Ravens. Ring of Honor member. and then my next guy, hold on, I'm gonna write this guy down.
Hmm.
there's there's a receiver that I'm kinda looking at here. Cause they really don't have many good receivers in their history. one that was there for only about five years, right? No. No, he's thinking about their all-time receiving and yards later. Well, again, this this is a guy. hold on, I'm gonna I want to look and see how long he was there.
I I know Ravens fans now and they say that this guy was like one of their favorites on the Ravens. I think I know who you're thinking of.
I'll take Anquan Bolden with my fifth. What? They loved him here. That is a that is a Raven. Like they loved Anquan Bolden here. I'm gonna take Anquan. He was on the Super Bowl team. I'm taking Anquan Bolden. That is not the receiver I thought you were going with. He's a fan he is a fan favorite here. Should I take the right receiver? I think you should. Okay. I'm gonna take Derek Mason. There you go.
So I have both of my receivers are Derek's
I have the Derek Duo on my roster, and that rounds me out.
Caleb, you should take a tight end. Don't take a tight end. Take you should take a tight end that I'm thinking of. Did I not write him down? I didn't write him down. I only had two names left on my list. You didn't write Todd Heap down? my god, why did I thought of him, but he wasn't I don't know why he wasn't written down on my list. What is wrong with me? A lot. You took Ray Rice, you've taken Stefan Diggs, you've taken
Can't see someone with like domestic violence. He's like, I gotta have him on my team. Gotta reach for him. Okay, no, I I was gonna go Kyle Hamilton, but give me give me Mark Andrews. I don't know why I didn't have him on my list. that's not the tight end I was talking about. You took him though. You took him. I'm going Mark Andrews. I was thinking about Todd Heap.
I'm not I I'm not in tune to the old time guys like that. Second all time in receiving Ravens receiving yards.
No, I'm I'm I'm gonna stick with Mark Andrews. Dogs. Okay. All pro, three time pro bowls. You're gonna wrap it up with Derrick Henry? I think this is the last pick, isn't it? No, that was it. that was it. That wraps up the draft. I wanna go on Kyle Hamilton, but I went Ray Lewis. Can I read my notables? Yeah. My notable undrafteds. I had Chris McAllister, twenty six interceptions in ten seasons. Matt Starver, the kicker before
Just the great kicker before Justin Kerr. Stoke. Yeah, I think he had a f he had a few famous misses. I think in eleven he had a big miss. And then I had Peter Bulware, their all time sax leader. Still on the Marlon Humphrey. I didn't have Marlon Humphrey on the list. Not on my list. Annoying twice. Marlon Humphrey should Marlon Humphrey, Ronnie Stanley should definitely be in there. CJ Mosley as well. Definitely should throw him in there. Yeah. Thought about Ronnie.
Yeah. All right. Well, I went Ray Lewis, Joe Flacco, Marshall Yanda, Pelody Nagata, and Anquan Bolden. John went Ed Reed, Jonathan Ogden, Jamal Lewis, Derek Alexander, and Derek Mason. And Caleb went Lamar Jackson, Terrell Suggs, Justin Tucker, Ray Rice, and Mark Andrews. I know some people do not like Mark Andrews here, just FYI. Is that one drop? Yeah.
That's pretty that's pretty much why they they really don't like Mark Andrew. Well, he does he'll go quiet at times, like in big moments again. But that's just been their definition the past five, six years with Lamar. They've gone quiet in the big moments. So maybe this year they can change it.
