The Indianapolis Colts found themselves in a tough spot, most recently thrashed by the Chicago Bears in a stunner that would make any fan shudder and they weren't the best the NFC Central has to offer. The Packers have been one of the bigger surprises of the season in first place in the NFC Central but we can feel their time ticking away as Neal Anderson is back from a major injury. After a multiple month hiatus, due to other obligations, Coach Alex Boyajian had one message for his team, "All that loss does is help take the target off our back, when you are undefeated, every team you play is going to bring everything they have at you because they want to be remembered as the guys who knocked off the best team in football, now the target is gone and the pressure is gone, go out and take what's yours". That's exactly what the Colts did this week.

Coach Boyajian pointed out the Colts most glaring flaw, a flaw that most good playoff teams don't have, their run defense. Indianapolis ranks dead last in the league in rush yards allowed with 1920, that's 174.5 rush yards per game coming into this week, their saving grace, their pass defense which ranks 1st in the league with 907 pass yards allowed, that's just over 82 yards per game, the 2000 Baltimore Ravens allowed 187 pass yards per game. This game was no different, the Colts were destroyed on the ground, allowing 290 total rushing yards but allowed a mere 8 total passing yards and 1 completion all game. "We have to be better, we can stop the pass all day, it's time to get tough and make some real hits" said Coach Boyajian in an emotional moment after Sterling Sharpe ran for a 60 yards touchdown to tie the game with 4 seconds in regulation.

"We have made way too many mistakes, it's unacceptable" came from Coach Boyajian after a fumble that resulted in a field goal and a safety after Green Bay picked their play. The Colts found themselves in a much closer game than they wanted, but it only got more frustrating as Stanley Morgan fumbled the kickoff after a Sterling Sharpe rushing touchdown and the ball found it's way into the end zone and bounced out of the end zone, resulting in a safety and a 7 point lead for the Packers. The Colts made a stop and got the ball back, Coach Boyajian made some switches on offense and they found life. Jeff George hit Bill Brooks for a long pass before the end of the half but Brooks was tackled well short of the goal line but the Colts weren't about to go out lying down. They kept the same rhythm in the second half as Jeff George his Bill Brooks for a long touchdown to even the score at 14.

"Well, we need to be better next week, we need to be better every week, but this win feels nice, it feels like a true team victory" said Coach Alex Boyajian to the media after his victory, although there were mistakes made, this team has the fire and desire, they want it, but can the coaching hold up in the face of adversity?
